The third Broadway Universal Feature to be released on the regular Uni

versal program is "The Earl of,?aw-

tucket." Augustus Thomas s iamous nlav. in which Lawrance D'Orsay, one

of Broadway's best known character

actors, is featured. Harry Myers, who, with his co-star, Rosemary Theby, was recently signed up for two more years

by the Universal, has created a masterpiece in his screen version of the famous old romantic comedy. Moreover, it is safe to say that Mr. D'Orsay never played "opposite" a prettier or more polished actress than his vis-avis, Miss Rosemary Theby, who plays

the leading feminine role in the picture. Both In person and In character,

Mr. D'Orsay Is "a scream" with his dry. silly ass type of humor. The

story of "The Earl of Pawtucket," in

which he achieved his greatest Broad

way success, is as follows:

Harriet Putnam,: of New . York, re

ceives her. final decree of divorce from Montgomery Putnam, of London, and

is given permission to resume her

former name of Miss Fordyce by the court. The final papers are signed in the presence of Harriet, her father and his friend. Senator Barker, who is quite willing to see Harriet divorced, hoping that she will then listen to his matrimonial pleas. Montgomery Putnam and his lawyer have barely left the room when Senator Barker proposes and is promptly refused.

CORSET FITTINGS IN "KOVIE" FILMS ; AT THE MURRETTE Nusbaum Company Brings : Reels to .Show V Women How to Fit Properly Important Piece of Stays. The old saying that there is nothing new under the sun. will receive a decisive" negative In Richmond on next Tuesday afternoon. Lee B. Nusbaum Co. have engaged the Murrette theatre for a special matinee, which will be limited to women only. This will be - a great disappointment to their

male patrons, but -as the seating ca

pacity win be taxed, and as the film Is of direct interest to women' only, men will have to forego this matinee. This film shows the actual fitting of Gossard corsets and woven around the fittings is a beautiful story entitled, "How - Marjorie Won a Career." It required almost three months to complete this film and Lee B. Nusbaum Co. is to be congratulated on being able to get an early run on the film. Complimentary passes are being issued to the ladles of Richmond and vicinity at the corset department, at Nusbaum's. You can get as many as you like for yourself and friends. - Moving pictures are certainly covering a wide range of 'activities and there is no telling what one will see next at the movies. That they are exercising a wonderful educational influence no one can deny and we havo no doubt that Lee B. Nusbaum Co. will find themselves besieged with requests to this matinee for women only.

"THE WHISPER" NEXT.

"The Whisper" Is the next vehicle in which Bessie Eyton will be starred. "Smiling" Vivian Reed. Edwin WaJlock and E. J. Piel also are in the Selig cast which is under direction of Lord Carleton.

NICE SUM CLEARED.

Over eight thousand people visited the Selig Jungle Zoo at Los Angeles, recently to attend a benefit for the Jewish consumptive relief fund. There were performances by the Selig wild animals, fancy dances, a free concert, etc A sum beyond all expectations was raised for a hospital.

And while on the subject we might also remark that "The Millionaire Baby." shortly to be released by the Selig company, is a scream and will achieve a howling success,
