TOWN LETS CONTRACT FOR CENTRAL SCHOOL NEW PARIS, O., Aug. 10. The school board met Saturday and em ployed Miss Zelma Nunamaker of Middletown, Ohio, to fill (he vacancy of principal. of the Jefferson township centralized schools, caused by the resignation of Miss Madge Wakefield, of Loveland, Ohio, who was forced to resign because of ill health. Miss Nunamaker comes highly recommend ed, havine been a teacher of English in the Middletown schools. Other teachers hired were Miss Mary O'Dea for Room No. 3, and Miss Jirene Tim mons for Room No. 2. Districts Nob. 6 and Gettysburg are still without teachers, though two were hired tentatively, but on ac count of previous acceptances were unable to take the places. School will open Labor day, September 6, and all the small boys are putting in double time at the "swimmin' hole" and other loved haunts. On Thursday the bid of Fry, Piqua, Ohio, at $44,0(f0 for erection of the new school building was accepted, there being quite a number of bidders for the job. Bids for lighting and heating were not wholly accepted, the prices being considered rather exorbitant. QUARANTINE LIFTED FROM BOSTON HOME BOSTON, Ind., Aug. 10. Mrs. Bennet Moss of Kitchel, spent Thursday and Friday with her sister, Mrs. Rrattain. Miss Mildred Hunt and Charlie Dove of Richmond, visited with Miss Sada Pottenger, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkinson entertained Sunday, Mrs. Rose Seany and Miss Ethel Seany of Ft. Wayne, Ind. Mrs. Margaret Rupe cf Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Cora Mullins. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar .Tohnson of Peru, Ind., on route home from Virginia, spent Sunday with Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Lillian Braltlan. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Druley, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. S. E.
