$1,741 IN TREASURY OF REID HOSPITAL

Memorial hospital submitted ' to council last night 6howed a balance on hand of $1,741.76. The balance on band at the beginning of June was $727.16. Receipts during the month raised this sum to $3,776.60. Expenditures were f 2,034.84. There were thirty-four patients in the institution the first of the month, sixty-nine were admitted and there were thirty-eight remaining at the end of the month. Forty-seven operations, both major and minor, were performed.

CONNERSVILLE, Ind.. July 20. Joseph Van Syckle, who for two years has been in the Madison insane asylum, made his escape and was found by Sheriff Hendrickson wandering about his old hOme in the edge ot Fayette county, call for his mother. The family moved away from the old home about a year ag6.
