THURSDAY. "The UJBter Lass" Lovers of old Ireland will see in this beautiful play some of the most beautiful Irish scene settings ever shown on the screen. It is a true Irish tale, told as only Gene Gauntier and Jack Clark can tell it. FRIDAY. "The Closing Chapter" Murdock MacQuarrie's play are always throbbing with heart interest, and in this story of how an orphan won her estranged grandfather's love and brought peace and happiness is one of the best.

The work of preparing for "Mizpah" is growing in importance. The "Walls of Babylon" are to be, constructed many miles from Los Angeles and a fmal army of builders and workmen is to be employed. Well, leaving out the festive board part of it and all that, the same thing almost happened to Miss Maud Gilbert, who supports William Farnum in William Fox's Box Office Attraction Co.'s Production Extraordinary of Henri Bernstein's great drama, "SamEon," when she was playing in a picture in which she was supposed to be a gypsy girl searching for her lover through a snow-covered countryside.

In the boarding house where he puts up, he meets Annie Breen, a salesgirl. Billings, a libertine drummer, employed by the department store where Annie works, is attracted by the girl's prettiness and forces upon her his attentions.

TUESDAY. "Silent Co-ed" The girls of Jones college are accustomed to seeing their basketball team annually defeated by Hartford college. On receiving a challenge, however, from a city settlement house, they anticipate an easy victory. It proves otherwise. Kit Donahue, the little gum chewing captain of the settlement team, outplays the entire college five and scores an easy triumph for the urbanitea. The college girls at last induce the little captain to stay at the college and play cn their team.

"Mountain Mary" Hazen Doone and Giles Turell, two old mountaineers, are bitter enemies. Turell shoots Doone from ambush, severely wounding him. Doone resolves to be avenged. Ivan Doone, who has just returned from several years' absence at art school, is commissioned by his father to bring about the betrayal of Mountain Mary, Turell's only daughter.
