Queen Esther Society Past Grands, Daughters of Rebekah, meets with Mrs. Webb, East Main street. Penny Supper given by the Sunshine Makers of the Second English Lutheran church from 5:30 until 7 o'clock.

A pretty social function for Saturday was the informal party given by Mrs. William Romey at her home on South Fourteenth street, as a courtesy to Mrs. J. C. Welty and daughter, Miss Luclle, of Marion, Ohio. Summer flowers, a number of which were brought - in from the garden were used In deco- ,. rating the rooms where the guests spent the afternoon socially and with music. Tea was served. Several other out of town guests who are visiting friends here were included in the list of guests. They were Mesdames E. G. Howard, Charles Kidder, J. C. Welty of Marion, Ohio, E. S. Curtis, Fred J. It is urgent that all members attend. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crane, Misses Emerald Hasecoster, Elaine Jones, Messrs. Voyle Martindale and Frank Wissler motored to Cincinnati, today. Mr. and Mrs. William Brooks of Fountain City, Mrs. Walter Lantaff and son Master William of Buffalo, New York, and Master Meredith Garber of Buffalo, motored to this city yfterday and visited Mr. and Mrs. B. M Thomas of North C street. In honor of Mrs. Virgil Gilchrist of Colorado, who is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Burton Westcott of $ Springfield. Ohio, Mrs. H. H.
