' "The Grail" features Herbert Rawlinson and Anna Little. A young bank clerk, dubbed a knight by his sweetheart, proves himtfelf a modern Galahad, sacrificing his good name, fortune and happiness for the father of the girl he loves. The beautiful legend of the Holy Grail and of its quest by the knights of King Arthur's roundtable has been a favorite theme with English poets for generations. The sacrifices made and dangers endured by the knights in their quest for the chalice from which Christ drank before the crucifixion have elicited the admiration of even the , most prosaic money grabbers who have little time for anything beyond the attainment of their immediate sordid needs. TUESDAY. "Vanity" William Clifford and Edna Maison give a strong portrayal of a faithless wife and of her final reclamation on the verge of suicide. Social unrest is the one besetting sin of the American woman. Inspired by the meretricious worldly success of pseudo adventuresses in the matrimonial mart the American city bred woman is only too often a prey to the glitter of gold. WEDNESDAY. "The Marbel Heart" The story of this picture was first used in a French play. "Filles des Marbes," an adaptation of which, under the name of "The Marble Heart," achieved great popularity on the English and American stage. In this picture King Bagot appears as a modern sculptor by name of Raphael, who falls asleep in his studio and dreams that he is the sculptor, Phidias, at Athens. THURSDAY. "Jane's Declaration of Independence" Frank MacQuarrie and Agnes Vernon are the stars. Bobbie mixes his firecrackers in with his sister's love affairs and finally brings about an understanding between young army officer and the latter's sweetheart. Scenario by H. G. Stafford. Produced by Charles Giblyn.
