Surprisingly" good business has marked the , opening week- of Richmond's netf banking institution, the German-American Trust and Savings company- The deposits have been far in excess, in numbers and actual amounts than were estimated in the anticipation of the most optimistic official of the company. Thousands of persons, residents Of every part of Wayne county, have visited the bank and paid just tribute in wholesome praise to the beauty, elegance, and comfort expressed in the workmanship and appointments in the Interior of the building.

Many features, which have especially been cftmmented upon by the visitors' and immediate patrons of the bank, place the German-American Savings and Trust company's institution in an individual class and on a plane of equality with metropolitan banks. The banking rooms are among the most attractive in the city. The woodwork of the first room is of mahogany while the offices of the officials are of marble surmounted with mahogany.
