Thomas, the chief of the gang, learns : that the results of the following day's race are to be sent on wire 35. Three men, headed by Jim Noyes, proceeded to Rexford to tap this wire. Their presence Is discovered by a lineman. To keep their plot secret, the wire tappers make him a prisoner. TUESDAY. "Her Proper Place" Agnes Reynolds is considered the drudge of the household, while her sisters, May and Clarabelle, enjoy a comfortable position In the social set. Harry Cornell, the bank president's son, has become enamored of May. Agnes startles her family by stating that she is going to the Capital to work and get something out of life. Agnes has. for some months, admired Senator William Northup, and often times bad been ridiculed by her sisters because of her confessed infatuation. At the Capital, Agnes gets work as a clerk in the ofiice of a real estate operator, whose office is immediately opposite that of Senator Northrup. She progresses well in her work, and studies stenography evenings. Attempts to get financial assistance from home prove futile, and she has to be extremely parsimonious to get along. WEDNESDAY. "Jane Was Worth It" Fresh from the country, slatternly in appearance and actions, but withal a most excellent cook, Jane proves eminently sat

isfactory as a servant to Hughie, an eccentric bachelor, and his pet cat. When she becomes jealous of the cat, however, and complains to Hughie j

mat it is a nuisance, he tells her quite plainly that the cat is more valuable to him than his cook, so he discharges Jane. Not realizing the difficulty of getting a good cook, he thinks he can easily secure another. Hughie tries a few, and the experiences he meets with are not at all conducive to peace and quiet. frTday. Thomas Commerford does splendid work In portraying the character of Mgr. Saracinesca, the aged father in the convent where the white sister, in Essanay's photoplay of that title, has taken the veil. He brings out strongly the stern, yet patient and gentle characteristics of the prelate, who finally secures a special dispensation to relieve "the white sister" of her vows.

MONDAY. "The Snow Girl" Brinley Shaw, Glen White and Mildred Manning enact leading roles in drama of the North woods, written and produced by Frank S. Beresford. The evils of child labor, of vile housing and factory conditions, of crooked politics and

Schrock. Stuart Paton, the producer, has featured Hobart Henley, Frances Nelson and Allen Holubar In the leading roles. The story of the drama Introduces Emerson Boyd, the owner of the Great Boyd Mills, a relentless scneming, grinding corporation, which employs

child labor and disregards all laws of health and sanitation. THURSDAY. "One Man's Evil" William Clifford and Edna Maison are featured In "One Man's Evil Eye," a two-reel drama. The feature photodrama, written by Ida May Parke, has been lavishly staged by Joseph De Grasse. Besides the principals, the cast contains Queenie Rosson, Lule Warrenton, Arthur Shirley, Ray Gallagher, Harry Nelson and Mr. Harris. Harvey Clay Is called "The Stranger" in Boulder. He never talks of his past, and there is no one who has hnown him before his arrival in the Western town. He is well liked by the young folks because of his happy-go-lucky ways, but the parents, suspicious of his silence, will have none of him. FRIDAY. "Blue Blood and Yellow Backs" Barton Peastring, ambassador to the Canary Islands, is short in both the reception room and the salon while Mamma de Millyuns sustains an assault from the rear in "Blue Blood and Yellow Backs," a two-reel L-Ko comedy featuring Harry Gribbons, Gertrude Selby and Reggie Morris.

Murrette TODAY. "Six Cent Loaf" Mary Quinn is a plucky factory girl, who support! herself and her little brother, Joel, and sister, Norah. John Rapley, head of the Associated Baking Companies, never has heard of Mary Quinn. However, she is vitally affected by a business coup which he executes, thereby raising the price of bread to six cents a loaf. The court refuses the father his request for his daughter, so he kidnaps the girl and takes her to another state, where he becomes prominent in politics. A young college graduate, Billy Rider, is la love with Marietta.

Wallace Beery has three trained rats which so through some wonderful "stunts" in Essanay's photoplay, "The Broken Pldge." It is a camping scene and Beery and his friends are trying to scare out three girls who are camping nearby and have taken a pledge never, to marry. The rats run merry rings around the tent and finally one of them grabs hold of the bed covers and pulls tnem off.

TUESDAY. "Hearts United" Before leaving to visit her mother, Lilah Windom gives a farewell reception. Mrs. Hearns, a widow and mischief-maker, informs Lilah's husband that Howard Jameson a young clubman, is madly in love with his wife.
