MAN WITH SMILE CHEERS EVERY OME SAYS REV, STOVALL The second In a series of twentyminute Sunday, evening sermons on "Some Kinds of Men," was delivered by Rev. W. O. Stovall at the First .Baptist church yesterday. His text was "A cheerful heart is a good medicine," Proverbs 17:22. . "Lift up the ends of your mouth," he said. "It has never yet helped the
world to have people going about in it with the ends of their mouths hanging down like the tail feathers of a wet rooster. ; Everybody ' laughs some times, but some people never smile. A laugh may be only of the flesh, but a smile is of the soul. People go out of their way to find something that will make them laugh, but never to find, something that will make them smile. Bespeaks Friendship. "A smile is the token of friendship, the 6eal of confidence, the evidence of contentment, the harbinger of triumph. "Smiles are recreative and recuperative; they are a, good medicine. When I come upon people who are out of fix, and seem to think that there is not enough left for them in this world to make it worth while, I try to find out whether they still have a smile left in them. If they have, and I can bring it out on their faces, I feel that there is still something left for them. "A smile is God's beautifier. There are persons who devote much of their thought and time and money to the task of Improving their personal appearance, and often it is all in vain. We may not have been born handsome or beautiful, and we may have been given a form that no manner of dressing will make appear graceful; but we can give attractiveness to our countenances and cause our gracelessness to be forgotten when our hearts teach our faces how to smile."

Mr. White said he has four children, two by a former wife. The elder children were made wards of the board of children's guardians and Mrs. White is supporting her children at the home of her parents, while Mr. White is living with his relatives.
