"Daughter of the Mill" Victor three-reel drama relates a thrilling. myctertous story of the land of the Pharoahs. Tragedy and romance mingle with the deep-laid plots and counter-plots of spies and intriguing diplomats. Scenario by Elaine Sterne. Produced by Lucius Henderson. MONDAY, "Bill's Blighted Career" Bill de Boozer (Billle Ritchie) is an artist. He can make a beer keg so realistic that when he paints a spigot on the canvas it spouts the fluid that made Milwaukee infamous. While painting on a rustic bridge. Billle sights the handsome wife (Peggy Pearce) of the portly brewer and art lover, Monty Lizzio (Henry Bergman). : ' Now Billle is married, and his wife is enthusiastic about all forms of art. Bill and his wife are not any more , enthusiastic, however, than are Monty Lizzio and his wlf Peggy. Lizzio has little use for itinerant artists and when he meets Bill de Boozer he promptly proceeds to knock Bill's easel and painting over. TUESDAY. ' "Valley of Silent Men" Ben Wilson, Dorothy Phillips and Joseph W. Girard are featured in "The Valley of Silent Men," a Rex two-reel drama by Anthony Kelly. H. C. Easton in producing the drama secured some unusual seascapes and real tang of the ocean scenes as backgrounds for the stirring action of his play. The drama tells of a shanghaied sailor and of life on the high seas, in Jack Londonesque style and withal It has the. domestio appeal which brings the story home to every feminine heart. WEDNESDAY. "Strange Disappearance" King Baggot, supported by Jane Gail, is featured in "A Strange Disappearance," a three-reel drama by Raymond L. Schrock, adapted from the novel by Anna Katherine Green. Edna Hunter, Ned Reardon and Frank Smith appear in the other principal roles of the feature, under the direction of George A. LesBey. "A Strange Disappearance" introduces King Baggot in the quaint costumes of the period of American history just previous to the Mexican war. Several locations of the period were unearthed by Director Lessey, one of which, an inn built in the year 1753, admirably served to add to the picturesqueness of the play. THURSDAY. "Buffalo Bill" Buffalo Bill, known from one end of the world to the other, recently made possible the filming of a' real circus drama by the Universal. The Sells-Floto circus played Los Angeles a few weeks ago and Director Henry McRae, forseeing a chance to obtain some striking circus scenes, called upon Hugh Weir for a scenario of circus life. Mr. Weir worked at top speed and shortly afterward handed Mr, McRae the manuscript of "The Circus Girl's Romance." Mr. McRae then took the script and

outlined his plans for a circus feature drama to General Manager George Magie of Universal City. Mr. Magie put his O. K. stamp on Director McRae's project and got in touch with "Buffalo Bill," who was stopping at the time at a Los Angeles hotel arranging for a hot time reception for the Sells-Floto circus, in which he has an interest.
Murrette MONDAY. "Little Chrysanthemum" Mrs. Leighton and her daughter, Marion, bring home with them from Kyoto a beautiful little Japanese girl. Little Chrysanthemum is an orphan, and Mr. and Mrs. Leighton love her like a child of their own. The son of the household, Bob, treats the pretty newcomer with the greatest deference and kindliness. She misunderstands his attentions. TUESDAY. "The Celestial Code" After a meeting of the Junta, Vasco Carillo, leader of the revolutionary party of Salvador, with its headquarters in Los Angeles, places valuable military plans in his safe in the library of his mansion. That same night Sato, Carillo's Japanese' cook, a paid spy in the interest of the Salvadorian government, steals the plans, hiding them behind a brick in the kitchen chimney.
