SCHOOL BOARD SELECTS RULE TO FILL VACANCY

A meeting of the West Manchester board of education was called last week to accept the resignation of J. R. Bruner and to appoint a successor to till the unexpired term. Walter Rule was chosen to fill the place as a member of the board and M. N. Surface was appointed to fill the officer of treasurer of the village school district. County Deaths HUGH C. DUNCAN. Hugh C. Duncan, son of George W. and Eliza J. Duncan, died of tuberculosis at the home of his parents in Cambridge City, Wednesday evening. He is survivevd by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. He had been an employe of the American Casket company of Cambridge for about seven years, and was the mainstay of the family. The funeral was held at the home on Capitol Hill Saturday.
