ADVANCE IN CHILD I LABOR REGULATION SHOWN IN SOUTH 3 2 SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., May 31. On the program sent by Mr. Butler are Prof. T. F. Moran of Purdue university, Mrs. S. C. Stinson of Terre Haute, Prof. T. E. Fitzgibbons, superintendent of Columbus city schools, Guy C. Hanna, superintendent of the Indiana Boys' School at Plainfield, and Frank D. Loomis, secretary of the Children's Aid Association of Indianapolis. MILTON, IND. R. P. Lindsay's wind pump on his farm south of town was broken Friday morning. A large crowd from the Doddridge neighborhood was at Richmond Thursday evening to attend the hih school commencement. Among the graduates were Helen and Everett Gates and Marie Little of that neighborhood. Charles Ferguson was at Connersville Thursday to attend the show at the Auditorium. The play was "All Over Town." There was a thousand dollar house. Charles Hofman was at Liberty on business Wednesday. Mr. Hofmann states that his mother, Mrs. Hofman of Harrison, O., who was recently paralyzed was reported slightly improved. She was able to speak. Entertains Daughters. Miss Margaret Whitely of west of town, was seven years old Wednesday. In honor of the occasion Mrs. Whitely! entertained Mrs. Walter Templin and j daughters June, Arlene, Louise andj Mary Catherine Templin, at dinner. Mrs. Arthur Muckridge of Rich-1 mond, was calling on friends at Milton Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Anna Dodge, has been visiting at Richmond with relatives. Her daughter Miss Leona McClure, is spending a lew days fit Detroit, Michigan. The Rev. F. M. Westhafer instructed the Teachers Training class of the M. E. church after prayer services, ; Thursday evening. He is the teacher; of the class. The Teachers Training class of the! Friends churru met with Mrs. Sam' Hoshour Friday evening. i Mr. and Mrs. David Parker and son! Ross Parker, and Mr. and Mrs. R.j W. warren formed an auto party to Indianapolis Thursday. STRUCK BY TRAIN EATON, O., May 31. Although his. Identity has not been fully establish-' ed, a man whose name is thought to be i J. Pepper, about 30 years old, was Btruck Sunday morning by Pennsyl-: vania passenger train No. 12 at a road 1 crossing about three miles west of Campbellstown. He died an hour later.

With the close of school, high school teachers are making plans for their vacation. Some of them will take courses of study in eastern colleges. Some will enter summer school and other will visit relatives and friends in distant cities. Following is a list of the teachers of the high school and the places which they will visit: Principal F. G. Pickell will spend the month of July in Coldwater, Mich., and the remainder of the vacation in Richmond. Mr. Thompson will go to Ray, Ind., in his automobile. Miss Bradbury will remain in Richmond most of the time. Miss Smelser, uncertain. Miss Graves will take a course of study in Columbia university, New York City. Miss Fosler will remain in Richmond. Miss Knollenberg will study in Wisconsin. Mr. Wissler will also go to Wisconsin. Mr. Wishand will visit in St. Louis. Mr. Helman and Mr. Gillespie will stay at Rome City. Mr. Kelly and family will spend part of the summer in Coldwater, Mich., and Mr. Cook will take a course of study in Columbia university. Miss Finfrock, Miss Trueblood and Miss Morris probably will spent the summer in Richmond. Miss Broaddus will go to her home in Connersville and Miss Hawkins probably will stay in Richmond. Mr. Maier will go to Columbia university, and Miss Whitacre will visit her mother. Mr. Mull will stay in Richmond. KITCHELL WOMAN COMPLETES COURSE ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 31. Mrs. Nellie Parks of Kitchel, Ind., is a member this year of the graduating class of nurses from the University of Michigan Training school. Mrs. Parks has been a student at the General hospital which is operated in connection wilh the medical college here. One other member of this class is Miss Clara Belle Dunbar of North Manchester, Ind. Honoring the 75th birthday anniversary of William Henry Harrison Eson, ,a well known veteran, a small company of friends were entertained Sunday at the Eson home on West Somers street. Although Mr. Eson enjoys many distinctions, the chief one is furnished by the fact that he is two years older than his mother-in-law, thirty-four years older than his wife, fifty-nine years older than his daughter and sixty-four years older than his son.
