PREPARES PROGRAM FOR CLOSE OF YEAR

NEW PARIS, O., May 22. Tuesday Is being looked forward to with delight by the small boy as it is the last day of school. No examinations will be held, but the High School Literary society will give a program at the school building in the afternoon, to which all are invited. The program follows: Piano solo, Mabel Barney; reading. Thomas Melody; original essay, Trafford Boyd; current events, Forrest McGill; recitation, Bessie Fisher; quotation contest, Helen Reid and Janice Hahn; composition, Ruth Pence; medley, Emora Murray; biography, Lewis Lawder; humorous clippings. Russell Miller; the submarine, Douglass Lawder; piano solo, Evelyn Aker; reading, Irene Clingenpeel; recitation, Evelyn Northrop; school news, Haley Cook; speech, A. H. Wilson: symposium, Salena Raney; valedictory, Marvel Mitchell. I GLEN KARN, O. ! GLEN KARN, O., May 22. The sale of lots Monday by the Gerhart Company was quite a success. All lots were sold at a good price and considerable building will be done this summer. There is some talk that they will buy more land north of the new addition to sell the same way. Glen Karn is selling lots to the south. Two new houses are under way now and before long it seems that Hollandsburg and Glen Karn will be one town. Mrs. Elmer Chenoweth and her mother, Mrs. Edwards, have gone to Dayton to attend a funeral. A committee. from the M. E. church went to Greenville Thursday to see about buying a piano. Mrs. Lula Coppic has returned from a visit to her parents at Laura, Ohio. Mrs. Mary Wright is spending a few days at her home in Richmond. Surprise Young Man. Quite a number of the young people surprised Don Southard at his home Tuesday night, the occasion being his birthday. The evening was spent with music and games, after which re freshments were served. Miss Opal Skinner of near Whitewater spent Tuesday night with Miss Ruby Downing. Lenith Roberts went to Richmond one day this week to see about buying a new car. Mr. E. B. Job. of Greenville, was in town Wednesday on business. Walter Kalb returned from Bucyrus, Ohio. Wednesday after a short visit. H. H. Jones and wife were visiting his parents this week. To Relieve Rheumatic Pains. It is only a waste of time and money to take strong medicine for chronic or muscular rheumatism. Chamberlain's Liniment freely applied will relieve thp pain and soreness and the rheumatihm gradually disappears. Obtainable everywhere. Adv. Milwaukee has twenty-nine receiving and shipping dock-; where coal can be loaded and unloaded. BLOOD WILL TELL' The Heroes of the War "Blood will tell," is an axiom that in all the ages has never been gainsaid. Every man who does a brave, heroic act carries within his veins a quality of blood that urges and sus-1 tains him. No matter whether hej inherits it from a long line of famous ancestors or from the sound and healthy constitution of his immediate i parents, whose only distinction is hon-l orable toil and a simple, virtuous life, i It matters little where or how you! obtain it. but it matters all the world) that by some means you possess good) blood. Good blood is first, last and always the making of many men and! womanly women. It is the source of all courage, virtue and happiness. A new man can be made out of one that's "used-up," bilious and dyspeptic. It's done by Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery. It starts the torpid liver into healthful action, purifies and enriches the blood, cleanses, repairs, and strengthens the system, and resiores health and vigor. As an appetizing, restorative tonic, it sets at work all the processes of digestion and nutrition, and builds up flesh and strength. It's the only Blood and Liver Remedy that's guaranteed, in every case, to benefit or cure. If it doesn't do all that's claimed for it, the money is promptly refunded. But it keeps its promises that's the reason it can be sold in this way. It is not a secret remedy for its ingredients are printed on wrapper. You only pay for the good you get. "Discovery" strengthens Weak Lungs, relieves Shortness of Breath, Bronchitis, Sever Coughs, and kindred affections. FREE. Dr. Pierce's Common Sense Medical Adviser, bound in cloth, is sent free on receipt of 31 one-cent stamps to pay expense of wrapping and mailing only. A ddress: Dr. Pierce, Invalids' Hotel, Buffalo, N. Y. adv. -
