VIGRANS WILL PLAY AT RATLIFF PARK
Inability of some of the Ad-Hill players to take part in the game with the Vigrans which was scheduled for the second half of a double bill at Athletic park Saturday afternoon, has caused the game to be transferred to the Ratliffs park where it will be played at the usual time. Ratliffs park is held in reserve by the S. A. L. upon the offer of Manager White. The game will be called at 2 o'clock. A. S. M. and Natco will fight it out at the Athletic park as the two are tied for second place a real battle will be waged. The third game of the afternoon will see the two tailenders, the D. & W.'s and Easthaven hooking up. Slack claims the superiority, but Red Marine does not figure that way at all, claiming that with his revised lineup he will scare Lon out of the game right at the go. Neither wants the honor of being the cellar champs.
NEW CASTLE FORMS SHOP BALL LEAGUE
The S. A. L. will be pleased with the announcement that a Shop league composed of amateurs has been organized in New Castle. The league will be run on plans similar to the local league and will play on Saturday afternoons. The Maxwell Motor company. French & Sons, Piano company, The Hoosier Co., and the Chara Lathe. Co., will comprise the league. They will play their first games Saturday. If possible the local league will try to book and inter-city games with a picked team later in the summer, the plan being to use one of the open
dates at Athletic Park for which the league recently contracted.

TUXOLAS PROMISE STIFF OPPOSITION
Manager Dick Kenney says Richmond will use the same batting order as last Sunday except that Chick Long will replace Lou Thomas. Dick anticipates a hard game with the Tuxolas and declares the visiting team is really stronger than most people believe. Included in their lineup are several players who have been in league company. Dick further believes that the visitors will also find the going a little rough with Chick in the box because if he is in his regular form the Cincy aggregation will surely have to be up on its toes all the time. Kenny is well pleased with the addition of Long and believes that at last he has a twirler who will work hard and conscientiously. The Tuxolas will use the following batting order and lineup. The date for the Earlham-Franklin game on Reid Field Wednesday afternoon has been advanced one day, and will be played Tuesday afternoon, May 25. As the Quakers have been hitting a pretty pace and have given all opponents a taste of defeat, the Franklin game is expected to be a hummer.

COLLECTION AGENCY ESTABLISHES OFFICE HERE
The establishment of a collecting agency connected with all mercantile agencies in the country, has been announced. The agency will be operated by Richard Powell of Greenville, Herschell Little and E. H. Hoffman of this city. Offices have been established at 532 Main street and the agency will start business at once. Powell is said to be an expert on collections.

Andrew Allen, pressman's delegate to the council, was elected secretary of the Central Labor Council. Delegates to the Labor Council were instructed to urge their organizations to participate in the David Starr Jordan meeting, June 13. Labor conditions in the city were reported good.
