TONIGHT. "Klea's Brother." After his daughter's death, Andre an old Swiss watchmaker, care for his grandchildren John and Elsa Smardon. The girl Is eweet and lovable, but John is wild, dissipated and selfish. Tom Hicky, his chum, writes John from the west that there is an opportunity to come out there and learn the mining business. After a sad farewell (largely indifferent on his part), he goes west, where he falls in with a wild crew of miners and hangers-on. He and Phil Lessing, a clean living young engineer at Hammon's mine, become bitter enemies. In a quarrel John is shot and Phirs employer advises him to skip, which he does. John partially recovers and is sent to an old miner's hut in the mountains to regain his health. John sends word to Elso that the doctor has told him that his death is only a matter of weeks.
TUESDAY. "Killed Against. Orders." Odanah Durand and her father are in their beautiful home admiring their fine collection of ivories, when Bully Harris is admitted Odanah greets him coldly.Durand greets him cordially, and after a whispered conversation, Bully leaves. Durand is generally known as a wealthy art connoisseur. Odanah attends a ball at the residence of Mrs. Rice, and as the snap of a diamond bracelett has broken she tells the maid to puf the bracelet in the dresser drawer with other jewels. Later the maid finds the drawer open, and a general alarm is given. The district attorney, Wallace Maynard, whom Odanah meets at the ball, calls the police. At her home, later in the evening, Odanah sees her father enter through a window. He hands her the jewels at the Rice home. She hides them in her gown and, when the police search, they find nothing.

"The Better Man" Mark Stebbing and Lionel Barmore are two young clergymen In a metropolis, both earnest workers for the cause in which they have enlisted, but of distinctly opposite types. Both love the same woman, the beautiful Margaret Wharton, the daughter of a proud and wealthy old capitalist, and a strong supporter of the fashionable church of St. Hilda's. The Bishop of the Diocese has two vacancies for which he must recommend rectors; one of the churches is that of the rich St. Hilda's, the other that of St. Osmund's the broken and deserted church of the slums. Stebbing. the uncouth and belf-made man, chooses the povertystricken church of the poor and sinful as the place that needs him most, while the polished and brilliant Barmore is glad to see the beautiful church of St. Hilda's fall to his lot.

"Cindrella" In the exquisitely fanciful fairy tale "Cinderella," arranged from the beautifully symbolic and century-old story, Mary Pickford portrays the pathetic but. bewitching little cinder-girl, the heroine of the world-renowned and universally loved tale of the abused stepsister who was at last rewarded for her virtue and patience by a splendid triumph over the haughty sisters and unkind stepmother, and crowned princess, and sovereign of her true-love's heart.
THURSDAY. "The Comeback" Borden, roused to defend the name of a girl whom : Sinclair has implicated in a story he has been telling, empties a revolver; point blank at the other clubman. Hej is whisked away in an automobile by; Fred Dexter, his cousin, who hides him until he can get out of the country. Sinclair has recovered meanwhile and is plotting revenge. But as Bor-, den refuses to bring before the public the name of the girl, he is unable to vindicate himself. So he goes to New; Zealand. Some eight motnhs later, j Carr, the city editor of the paper on j which he has been employed under an assumed name, calls his attention to a picture in a New York paper re-, markably resembling himself. A news item announces that Fred Dexter has identified a man found dead in the woods as his cousin, Richard Borden, missing many months; and Dexter,! being next of kin, inherits the fortune of Francis Borden, a South African millionaire, who, is July of the previous year, had died. j
