Palladium's New Home It is with a pardonable amount of pride that The Palladium calls attention to the new building in which it is housed and to the equipment that has been installed for the printing and distribution of its product. The structure was designed to be a permanent home for The Palladium, affording a place for the machinery necessary to turn out a modern newspaper, for adequate rooms for the business, editorial, and news departments. The entrance of The Palladium into its new home marks another forward step in history of this newspaper. The installation of new machinery, the providing of sanitary environment for its employes, all redound to the benefit of the readers, for the suroundings in which the newspaper is printed, is bound to be reflected in the quality of the product. Nothing has been overlooked in the application of this principle to the construction of the building. Plenty of light, essential not only to good workmanship but also to the health of the employes, is afforded through window and skylights. The problem of ventilation has been met,

while the latest sanitary appliances make for cleanliness and aid in keeping the premises spick and span. With the physical housing and equipment of the plant as ideal as possible, The Palladium has made another forward step and is adequately prepared to offer its readers increased service as a medium of publicity. Its new home only serves to impress upon it more and more the high position of trust and responsibility it holds as an institution amenable to the public it serves, and the bigh purpose it seeks to attain. Roosevelt and Barnes No trial in which political leaders have been involved is atracting so much attention as is the $50,000 libel suit of William Barnes against Theodore Roosevelt now in progress at Syracuse, N. Y. Mr. Barnes alleges he was libeled when Col. Roosevelt referred to him as a boss and linked his name with the reactionary machine or New York. Barring the merits of the suit, it will be of interest to note after the jury has returned its verdict what the status of a "boss" really is. The libel suit in New York, at least will define this term, for upon the definition of this word, it seems, will hinge the finding of the jury. Should the jury find for Mr. Barnes, the term will still lack a definition, as Mr. Roosevelt in the testimony which he gave yesterday minced no words, and expressed what the American people as a whole have concluded is the meaning of the term. Should the jurors exonerate Col. Roosevelt, little doubt will be left as to the legal status of the word "boss," for it will include conceptions current in the public mind. Politicians who believe the "people cannot rule themselves" and need party regulation control will be included in the scope of the appellation "boss."

Cause of Sleeplessness. Sleeplessness often results from a disordered stomach. Correct that and you can sleep as well as ever. Mrs. Mae Ingersoll, Pulaski, N. Y., was troubled with indigestion and headache. "I was so restless at night," she says, "that I could not sleep. Chamberlain's Tablets were so highly recommended that I got a bottle of them and soon after I began taking them I was very much improved. Two bottles of them cured me." Obtainable everywhere. adv.
