8IIURGHES PROVIDE MUSICAL NUMBERS AT BACCALAUREATE MILTON, Ind., April 22. The baccalaureate sermon will be given, Sunday evening at the Christian church. The Rev. F. C. McCormlck, pastor will deliver the discourse. The music will be furnished by members of the several churches In town. Mrs. Henry McMahan of the Doddridge neighborhood was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Flora Clauson of Cambridge City, Wednesday at dinner, In honor of other guests. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Connell of south of town had as their guests recently for a social evening, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zook, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Connell, Miss Clemmie Market, Joseph and Louis Klieber. Mrs. Will Carlin was at Connersville. Wednesday. Close of the schools will be Friday afternoon. There will be an exhibit of school work at the high school room to which everybody Is invited. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wlssler and family, Mrs. Eliza 'Marlatt and son, Charles and Ammon Wissler were a party from .the eastern part of the township to near Liberty, the early part of the week to visit Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wiasler, R. J. Kellam has Just returned from a visit with his children, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse' Hungerford of Rushville. Mrs. L. T, Powers, nee Miss Hattle Zell of Connersville, visited Mrs. J. L. Wike a few days ago. Also John Markley of Richmond, and Seigel Armstrong of Indianapolis, were her recent guests. Mts. Carrie Bo yer who Is sick Is still inquite a weak condition. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cook and Miss Agnes Connell' were the guests of friends at Cambridge City, Tuesday evening. E. A. Kuhns is home on a furlough from the Lafayette Soldiers Home. Charles Davis was at Richmond on business Tuesday. Miss Maude Ball writes her mother that her school at Petoskey will be out in June. Mrs. Frank Creagor of Mt. Auburn, was the guest of Mrs. Harry Murley Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Franklin of Waterloo, were recent guests of his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester and family.

BIBLE SCHOOL MEETS CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind.. April 22. The sixty-first Sunday school institute of Jackson township will be held at the Methodist church in Dublin at 2 o'clock p. m., Sunday, May 2. Social News

A card party was given yesterday afternoon in the Moose hall for, the wives and friends of the members. An all-day quilting party was held Wednesday in the Lincoln Bible class room at the First Methodist church by members of the Golden Rule Bible class. The members served dinner to their families at noon. ' Section three of the Ladies' and Pastor's union of Grace M. E. church met yesterday afternoon with " Mrs. Henning, South Seventh street. Needlework, refreshments and a social hour occupied the time. The Ladles of the O. A. R. will meet Friday afternoon in the post room at the court house. The hours were spent socially and with needlework. Mrs. Edith Terhune was hostess yesterday afternoon for a meeting of Section two of the Ladies' and Pastor's union of Grace M. E. church. Arrangements were made for a market to be held Saturday, May 1. The place will be announced later. The hours were spent socially and with needlework. Mrs. George Herbst entertained the members of Section four of the Ladies' and Pastor's union of Grace M. E. 'hurch yesterday afternoon at her home on Pearl street. Preparations were made for the future work of the union. A part of the time was spent socially and with needlework. Mr. and Mrs. Will Hawekotte will entertain members of a card club this evening at their home on South Seventeenth street Needlework and social conversation were features of the meeting of section one of the Ladies' and Pastor's union of Grace M. E. church held yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank Page. Refreshments were served. The rooms were arranged : with flowers and ferns. The next meeting will be held the third Wednesday in May with Mrs. Albert Foster.
