Joe Wallick is improving his residence on West Main street by building three additional rooms. He is installing a bathroom. Mn. Alice Myers has returned after several days spent with Mr. and Mrs. Menry Myers at Dublin. J. V. Fricke of San Francisco and J. H, Vogt of Portland. Ore., members of one of the largest chair firms on the Pacific coast, and customers of the Standard Manufacturing company, were here Monday visiting the v local pla4, and were guests of 'Mr! and Mrs. W. B. Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Whiteley are moving from the Feemster property on Maple street to the Maria Smith property on church street. Miss Hazel Shelton, who has been a visitor in the home of her aunt, Mrs. II. II. Bryan, was called to her home in Springfield, O., Monday by the serious illness of her mother. Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bryan, Mt. and Mrs. W. B. Wilson and daughter, Mary Katherine, and their guests, J. W. Fricke of San Francisco and J. H. Vogt or Portland, Ore., motored to Anderson Monday afternoon. P. H. Former President Roosevelt, acting
under instructions of his physicians, has had Mrs. Roosevelt removed from their home at Oyster Bay to Roosevelt hospital. The nature of her illness has been withheld. It is known that ihe Colonel's wife is very ill.

Bailey, remained for a longer visit Mr. and Mrs. Lester Davis and Mr, and Mrs. Ora Wheeler of Hagerstown were guts of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wheeler Sunday evening. N ''. ;. 1 Mr. and Mrs: Thomas Scott and son James of Dublin, Simeon and Russell Crockett, Mrs. Hannah Polk and grand children Genevieve and Audrey, were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Polk Sunday, the entire compay motoring to Connersville.. Miss Grace Conklin will go to Indianapolis at the close of the week to visit Mr. and Mrs. Huber Reigle. Guy Daainer of Fort Wayne is the guest of baa brother, F. M. Danner. A number of local young people will attend a dance this evening at Greenwood, near Connersville. Mrs. Roy Fraunberg has returned after a fortnight spent with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. ePters, at Indianapolis. Mrs. J. M. Williams and Mrs. D. E. Chapin haw returned to their homes, in Indianapolis and Columbus, respectively, after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clem John. son, and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Miller have learned of the death of A. P. Clark, father of Fred Clark, of anesville. Miss Alberta Alford will go to Greenfield Saturday to visit her uncle, C. A. Robinson. Mrse. Charles Griffin of Richmond, was the guest of Mrs. Grace Beard and daughters, Tuesday. Visits in Muncle. Mr. and Mrs. George Robey spent Wednesday with the latter's sister, Mrs. H. H. Smith, at Muncie. Mr. B. F. Griffin will go to Indianapolis Saturday to visit relatives, and will spend next Monday with her aunt, Mrs. Hannah Hammil, whose eighty-ninth birthday occurs that day. Mrs. Carl Boyd spent Wednesday afternoon shopping in Richmond. Rev. W. M. Hollopetre was called to Avilla Wednesday to preach the funeral of a former parishoner. Miss Mary Harrison of Middletown, O., is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bertsch. Albert Obmit, Ralph Luddington, Robert Bertsch, John Manlove and the Misses Lillian Lackey and Dorothy Sangton attended the dance at Hagerstown Wednesday evening.
