LEADERS READY FOR TWO-HOUR HOME CANVASS International Chairman and Former Richmond Boy Returns as Special Guest of Local Association.
VORKERS ASSEMBLE Shreve Durham to Give Instructions and Announce Districts at Meeting in High School. A. F. SITTLOH. A. F. Sittloh. international chairman of the Home Visitation Work, who is a former Richmond business man, will ariive in this city tonight. A telegram vvaj received from Mr. Sittloh this morning from New York by the visitation committee, and by Mrs. Geo. C. Eartel, his sister, announcing his coming. Mr. Sittloh was a resident of Richmond for about twenty-eight years and was employed in the cloak and suit department of the George H. Knollenber store. He is the son of Mrs. Mary Sittloh, who resides with her daughter, Mrs. Bartel, on South Fourteenth street. Mr. Sittloh is now a stockholder in the Denver dry goods store, of Denver, Colo., and has been east on business. He probably will leave Richmond tomorrow night for Chicago to reach Denver by Saturday. - ' Durham to Speak. The leaders, visitors and friends interested in the home visitation work will meet promptly at 7:30 o'clock tonight in the high school building, and all indications point to this being one of the most representative gatherings ever assembled in Richmond. Mr. Durham, international home visitation superintendent, who has charge of the campaign, will address the meeting, presenting the plan and the methods of procedure. The Idea is most interesting and all will be interested in the wide scope of its results. The organization for the campaign was perfected yesterday. Every block In the city and suburbs has been diagrammed for the work, with chairQUICK RELIEF FROM CONSTIPATION Get Dr. Edwards Olive Tablets That is the' joyful cry of thousands since Dr. Edwards produced Olive Tablets, the substitute for calomel. Dr. Edwards, a practicing physician for 17 years and calomel's old-time enemy, discovered the formula for Olive Tablets while treating patients for chronic constipation and torpid livers. Dr. Edwards' Olive Tablets do not contain calomel, but a healing, soothing vegetable laxative. No griping is the "keynote" of these little sugar-coated, olive-colored tablets. They cause the bowels and liver to act normally. They never force them to unnatural action. It you have a "dark brown mouth" now and then a bad breath adull.tired feeling sick headache torpid liver and are constipated, you'll find quick, sure and onlv pleasant results from one or two little Df. men over each district, to guide the 'plans.'-""".; :"-"" More than thirty-three thousand pieces of printed matter nave been secured for the training of the visitors and the invitations given and records secured. Tho3e who have kept in close touch with the development of the organization state that it is the most perfect business system they have ever seen in any line of work. Invitation General. The printed invitation to be given to all the people, inviting them to attend the services of the church, synagogue and Sunday school of their choice, has been arranged in five languages, English, German, Polish, Greek and Hungarian. It is believed that while there are a number of Italians and other nationalities in Richmond, all can understand this card. Mr. Durham in speaking today of the canvass to be made Thursday afternoon between 2 and 4 o'clock said: "Every record will be sacredly given to the church preferred, or to the pastor, priest or rabbi named. It is a square deal to all faiths, in all the people appreciate such a movement, and when they know that their cards are sacredly given to those they wish to have them, nearly every person has a religious preference, and will express it, for this unselfish ' movement, has no other purpose than to place all the people in touch with the churches, synagogues and Sunday schools of their choice. Requests Cordiality. "The leaders request the press to urge the people of Richmond to receive the visitors with their usual cordiality and as promptly as possible, since it is a large task, and the visitors only expect to go to the doors and secure the information. The visiting with the families in each case is left to the after work of each church to do in its own way among its own people and among those new people who prefer them." Following is the completed list of district headquarters and respective chairmen to which the visitors will be assigned: First District George Kauper, chairman. Headquarters St. John's Lutheran church, Seventh and South E streets. Second District Percy Smith, chairman. Headquarters Hibberd school, Eighth and South F streets. Third District E. R. Science has aided in simplifying the banishing of hairy growths from the face, and according to a beauty specialist, the most effective treatment yet devised consists of applying a delatone paste to the hairy surface for 2 or 3 minutes. The paste is made by mixing some water with a little powdered delatone. When this paste is removed and the skin washed every trace of hair has vanished. Be sure to get real delatone. Adv.
