Richmond lodge of Elks, which In the last ten years has achieved success of a notable kind In the entertainment Held, fairly surpassed itself last nigbt at the opening minstrel performance at the Oennett theatre. The audience was one of the largest that every assembled in that theatre, and the enthusiastic welcome the performers received indicated very plainly that the audience- got double value for the in vestment made. The "first part" with Its very atr tractive minstrel setting, was further beautified by a novel arrangement of orchestra and singers, and the picture thus presented at the rise of the curtain was esoecially appealing. Under

Mr. Jack Kcefe, Jr., of the Miller & Draper forces, the first part moved with the precision of the professional minstrel - organization. The ballads were sung by OUo Krone, George Hodge. Will F. Young, Frank Braffett and Robert Shinn. .

The closing skit, "Way Down" South," introduced fifteen dancing Elks in black face, and the finale was the wedding in which Howard Kamp, as the "blushing" bride, and Raymond Llchtenfels as the groom, were accorded honors.
