tractors to sign up, but as yet has not
succeeded in getting all of them. The
union earpenters, on the whole, are well satisfied with the conditions at
the present time, although some of the men are wanting to go ahead a lit
tle faster and be a little more radical
in their demands.

Persistent rumors are in circulation that there has been, or will be soon, a general transfer of generals commanding the various German armies on the eastern and western fronts. It is reported that von Hindenberg will go to France and Belgium in command of the eastern forces and that General von Buelow will take command in the west against the Russians. ELLEN WALKER. EATON The body of Ellen Walker, two and one-half years, who died Wednesday, at the home of her father, Estey Walker, at Wabash, lnd. following a two weeks illness resulting from spinal menigitis, was brought to Eaton Thursday afternoon and taken to the home of Chester Wllke. Funeral services were held Friday morning at the Wilke home, conducted by Rev. J. W. Miller, of West Alexandria. Burial was made in Mound Hill cemetery. The child's; mother, who died about two years ago, was a sister of Mr. Wilke and formerly resided at West Alexandria. Pleasant hill. The election for the purpose of centralization land the issuance of $55,000 in bonds for the erection of a building or buildings, will be held Saturday.
