WILLARD READY FOR BIG FIGHT WITHJOIINSON Doctors Say Aspirant in Good Form WWIeMwnroe Claims Jack Shows Great Speed. BY FRANK G- MENKEHAVANA, April 2. Doctors who have examined Willard say he is in marvelous condition. Wiljard himself is confident of victory. He hopes to land a right swing early In the fight, but declared today that he will hot take any chances of landing this blow, but will fight cautiously. George Munroe, former bantam weight champion, who saw Johnson before be fought Jeffries, Flynn and Moran, 6ays that the champion's condition is perfect. "His speed is bewildering," said Munroe. "His muscles are hardened to a point, -where they will resist any blow to the body. His jaw is the strongest of any man's in the world and able to resist even the terrific wallops of Willard." It is rumored that Johnson may shift his fighting plans and instead of waiting for Willard to come to him will rush the big cowboy off his feet right from the start. Women are talcing a keen interest in the fight and it is expected between five hundred and eight hundred of the fair sex will witness the bout. There is plenty of Johnson money in sight, but his backers are refusing to wager any of their money at the prevailing odds, saying that they are prohibitive. They insist that the odds should not be more than 2 to 1 and won't bet any money at anything over that figure.
TRACK MEN WORK UNDER COACH NOHR High School Athletes Begin Practice Outdoors at Playgrounds. "Someone is badly mixed in his information," says Physical Director Nohr of the high school. "The report being circulated that the high school men would be under the guidance of Coach Whiteside? is way off." The thinly clads of the red and white men will do the major part of their practicing at the Playgrounds making it impossible for Whiteside to coach them. Weather permitting the first baseball practice will be held next Monday night at the Playgrounds. Nohr while not predicting a World beater in his team this year believes that with the proper amount of good hard practice he can develop a team that will hold its own with the most of its opponents.

If they can manage to hammer out a win over Sox's crew they will have as good a right to lay claim to the championship of Indiana as their opponents. The All-Stars to date have won all their games with the Seeders right at their heels with but one lost. There are quite a few fans in Richmond who are confident that the trick can be accomplished by the Seeders. They say there Is not as much difference in the two teams as the score in their previous encounter showed.

ROHE WILL PERFORM ON RUSHYILLE TEAM
Connersville News seems to have
become a little mixed in their dates in telling its readers that the Indiana State league would hold its meeting Sunday at that place. If it is so, officials of the local club have not been informed of the change of date which was agreed upon at the last meeting to be held Sunday, April lltb. Another bit of information welcomed by the fans of the I. S. L. is that George Rohe, hero of the 1906 worlds series who has signed to play third for the Rusbville club this summer would surely play with them contrary to reports that he would be with Weihe's All-Pros of Cincinnati. The report probably arose out of the fact that he will be used by the All-Pros when they tackle the Pittsburg Federal league team in some pre-season games. Manager Kenny of the local club is sawing wood and keeping quiet these days so fans can rest assured that Dick has his club about set and is letting the otherp do the worrying out what be has In reserve.
LUCAS WILL PITCH AGAINST EARLHAM Ad-Hill Sends Strong Lineup to Battle With Brubaker's Youngsters. For their game with the Earlham bunch of baseball tossers tomorrow afternoon on Reid field the AdvanceHill combination will use the following lineup. On paper they appear to have a mighty strong combination, although the work will no doubt be a little ragged owing to the fact that but little outdoor practice has been indulged in by any of the boys. Hoggy Lucas has been getting his good right ar minto shape by playing indoor baseball for the past week and believes he is about ready to go a full game right now. Haas will do the receiving. Lineup: R. Jones, ss; Cooney, If; E. Knight, lstb; Lucas, p; Haas, c; Webb, cf; C. Knight, 2b; Winter, 3b; Martin, rf; Holmes, extra.
arbitration will be submitted to the committees at tonight's meeting of the S. A. L. at the Y. M. C. A. Final decision upon grounds to be used by the league will also be made. All managers are urged to be present promptly at 7:15 o'clock and to bring their full reserve list of all players and particularly of the new ones signed.

SALTS IS FINE FOR KIDNEYS, QUIT MEAT Flush the Kidney at once when Back hurts or Bladder bothers Meat forms uric acid.
No man or woman who east meat regularly can make a mistake by flushing the kidneys occasionally, says a well-known authority. Meat forms uric acid which clogs the kidney pores so they sluggishly filter or strain only part of the waste and poisons from the blood, then you get sick. Nearly all rheumatism, headaches, liver trouble, nervousness, constipation, dizziness, sleeplessness, bladder disorders come from sluggish kidneys. The moment you feel a dull ache in the kidneys or your back hurts, or if the urine is cloudy, offensive, full of sediment, irregular of passage or attended by a sensation of scalding, get about four ounces of Jad Salts from any reliable pharmacy and take a tablespoonful in a glas of water before breakfast for a few days and your kidneys will then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia and has been used for generations to flush clogged kidneys and stimulate them to activity, also to neutralize the acids in urine so It no longer causes irritation, thus ending bladder disorders. Jad Salts is inexpensive and cannot injure; makes a delightful effervescent lithia-water drink which all regular meat eaters should take now and then to keep the kidneys clean and the blood pure, thereby avoiding serious kidney complications. ST. LOUIS FEDERALS DRIVEN TO PASTURE HAVANA, April 2. Fielder Jones has. taken a lot of poor looking baseball material and made It into -a ball club that ought to be able to put up a very goocl battle this year under the colors of the St.' Louia Federals. The Sloufeds didn't look overly good last year. The main reason seemed to be that Miner Brown, the first manager of the club, was too easy with his men. But Jones Is a different type a far different one than was Brown. Jones' managerial methods are different than those of any other coach In the Federal league. Jones ' Is a stern taskmaster. He believes in individual training for his men. He coaches every batter and coaches every pitcher. Then he coaches the infielders and outfielders, hovering over each in turn, pointing out their faults, and weaknesses. Jones is trying to develop batting

SAILOR LADS BEAT COLLEGE GRADUATES FPU APPOINTMENTS Wins Cadetships to Naval Academy by Studying Course Prescribed in School on Battleships. BY 8YDNTY E8PEY. WASHINGTON, April 2 When five 'sailor lads recently won cadet ships to Uncle Sam's naval academy by obtaining higher ratings in the entrance examination than those made by a number of college graduates, who also sought the honor, it surprised many who had shared the popular belief that a jack tar Is all brawn. - Back of the feat of the boys is the fact not generally known that the United States navy has been convert, ed into a veritable "floating university," where the enlisted men receive every kind of instruction useful to them in their country's service. The sailor boys who shot ahead of the chaps with the college degrees owe the prizes they won, it is declared, to the methods introduced in the naval system a year ago.
