DRUGS EXCITE YOUR KIDNEYS, USE SALTS If your Back Is aching or Bladder bothers, drink lots of water and1 eat less meat.

When your kidneys hurt and your back feels sore, don't get scared and proceed to load, your stomach with a lot of drugs that excite the kidneys and irritate the entire urinary tract. Keep your kidneys clean like you keep your bowels clean by flushing them with a mild, harmless salts which removes the body's urinous waste and stimulates them to their normal activity. The function of the kidneys is to filter the blood. In 24 hours they strain from it 500 grains of acid and waste, so we can readily understand the vital Importance of keeping the kidneys active. Drink lots of water you can't drink too much; also get from any pharmacist about four ounces of Jad Salts ; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast each morning for a few days and your kidneys will act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for generations to clean and stimulate clogged kidneys; also to neutralize the acids in urine so it no longer is a source of irritation, thus ending bladder weakness. Jad Salts Is inexpensive; cannot Injure; makes a delightful effervescent lithia-water drink which everyone should take now and then to keep their kidneys clean and acti-e. Try this, also keep up' the water drinking, and no doubt you will wonder what became of your, kidney trouble and backache. (Advertisement.)

situation with - no , disturbance of Its work, and. with such a unltedness of its people, as to prove its strength and commanding influence, both, in the conference and the city. The present pastor, the Rev. Harry Curtin Herman, was transferred from Chicago and assumed his duties as pastor of First church on the fifteenth

day of October, 1914, and the .first six months of the Aw pastorate have shown' commendable7 result. Merbershlp Gain. The membership of the First Metbo. dlst Episcopal church will show a net gain for this conference year of 102 members, and the class of those in preparation for advancement into church membership will number 65. The Sunday school has an enrollment of about eight hundred, with an average attendance of about five hundred for the present year. The Sunday school haa been the most fruitful field for evangelistic effort, and not a small percentage of the increase In membership has come from the Sunday, school. . For the six months that the new pastor has been on the feld there is a total of 700 pastoral visits made, and this would mean that for the entire year the amount of pastoral visitation required properly to conserve the best interests of the parish would be about 1,400, which indicates the very exact

ing and constant service which a large and growing church requires at the hands of the pastor. First church will show a substantial Increase In the "Missionary" and ."Benevolent" collections for the 'conference year, and the report which the pastor will take up to the conference, is very gratifying to himself and the membership of; the church. .! y The outlook for the First church for the new year Is very pleasing and Inspiring.-' The church was never more united than now and its expanding work was never more ' generally distributed among its Increasing membership. j One of the outstanding features ot Its work, this year, is the work, of the men's department. Over one hundred men are in its Brotherhood, and during the year, at a large expenditure of money, a fine room, with all modern equipment, has been fitted up for the men's department, and every Sunday morning finds a large company of men at Bible study and social service.

Great .things are expected from this department of our work.
