CATARRH LEADS TO CONSUMPTION
Catarrh is as much a blood disease as scrofula or rheumatism. It may be relieved, but it cannot be removed by simply local treatment. It breaks down the general health, weakens the lung tissues, and leads to consumption. Hood's Sarsaparilla is so successful in the treatment of catarrh that it is known as the best remedy for this disease. It purifies the blood. Ask your druggist for it.

Editor Palladium: In Friday's Palladium we see an editorial critizing Secretary of State W. J. Bryan with all the fury of a bar. gain counter onslaught for going up to Philadelphia at night to deliver the lecture so much solicited to Billy Sunday's 40,000 new converts. President Wilson since the close of congress is also devoting nearly all his time to the foreign affairs. And either Bryan or Wilson at the helm of State night and day shifts, have a perfect right if they prefer to lecture than take much needed sleep off of duty. Somebody must have been asleep or sick on duty, for the Palladium which we were crediting with being boosters and not .-, knockers, progressive not stand-pat or reactionary. Why this desperate knock at Bryan and President Wilson, his chief? Billy Sunday waa also knocked for getting so much as $2 each for his converts In the long siege In Philadelphia. A correction and apology is honorably due. Furthermore, beside the aforesaid editorial is an article by I. B. Arnold propounding three questions and answering them amiss, for fear no one else would surely. Why will a man say without tasting or testing in any part that "The Greatest Thing in the World" is bad or foolish? Referring to question one: A little prayerful seeking of the truth or partaking of the word of truth all of the hosts of thousands testify answered satisfactorily; and a little search of more than the quoted fractions of verses e. g. I Cor. XI, 16 to 34 will give Inviting light. Feet washing is not a command (ye ought if ye lack brotherly humility), Christ baptised not with water but with fire and the spirit of God. like and life abundantly and communion (as oft as ye partake do It In rememberance of Christ) Godly humility. Question two: Yes, from beginning (disbelief preceeded disobeying and brought damnation) to the end of the Bible the paramount issue is belief as a man thinketh in his heart or soul so is he, thus the issue of life. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Question three: The self-righteous Pharisees and meanest men Christ and God classed together with strongest condemnation. And so Mohammedans, atheists, infidels, arians, etc., are worse than the poor heathen that never had a chance. Mr. Arnold is sadly mistaken about Franklin, Socrates, Plato, Jefferson, etc., mostly. Very respectfully, Alvin M. Threewits.

The right time to build, remodel or repair is now! Building material is low, skilled labor is abundant, trained architects have time to most
ably plan and contractors to carry out work well and cheaply. The man who wants to build fof himself or for bona-fide tenants can buy to lasting advantage, as all future rents or loans will necessarily be based upon the low valuations now available and investments- so made will yield proportionately higher permanent returns.
