How Rural Sections May Share in Business and Social Affairs
BY JONATHAN WINFIELD. WASHINGTON, March 22. The de partment of agriculture has just announced a 'new plan to obtain community co-operation in business and 3odal affairs in the rural sections of the country and at the same time develop neighborhood patriotism among farmers. . This plan is create community organizations in various sections. The scheme calls for the creation of ten committees, five of which shall deal with the business needs of the community and five with its sr al requirements. The business bodies are to consist of committees on farm productions, marketing, sectoring farm supplies, farm finance and ;ccounti.ig and communication and transportation. The five committees to attend to the social life of the section will look after education, sanitation, recreation, Leautification and household economics.
In addition to the committee named, the scheme provides a central or executive organization having a president, secretary and treasurer. These : eneral officers, together with the chairmen of the ten committees, are to form an executive body which Is to direct the general policy of the organization, raise all funds required to ' carry on its work and control their expenditures. Through such co-operation of the rural communities great economic results may be obtained, the department experts believe, and a community spirit created which in its way will be as valuable to the farm sections as is tho national patriotism to the country at large. "Patriotism, like charity," it is stated, "begins at home; that Is, in tho neighborhood." Method of Work. It is pointed out that the various committees can do much good in their

respective fields. For instance, the committee on production can improve the breeds of live stock on the farm through the co-operative purchase of pure-bred stock. It can encourage the formation of corn, poultry, pig, cattle, canning and gardening clubs and carry on useful study of the type of agriculture best fitted to local conditions. Such clubs, the department says, have demonstrated their value in the sections where they have been established. In like manner the committee on marketing can procure the standardization of the community's products, and in this way obtain better prices than when nondescript goods are put upon the market, tl is pointed out that even if co-operative marketing be not resorted to, the information this committee would collect would be of assistance to the individual shipper.

If you want plenty of thick, beautiful, glossy, silky hair, do by all means get rid of dandruff, for it will starve your hair and ruin it if you don't. It doesn't do much good to try to brush or wash it out. The only sure way to get rid of dandruff is to dissolve it, then you destroy it entirely. To do this, get about four ounces of ordinary liquid arvon; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips. By morning most, if not all, of your dandruff will be gone, and three or four more applications will completely dissolve and entirely destroy every single sign and trace of if. You will find, too, that all itching and digging of the scalp will stop, and your hair will look and feel a hundred times better. You can get liquid arvon at any drug store. It is inexpensive and four ounces is all you will need, no matter how much dandruff
you have. This simple remedy never fails. Adv.
