WEDNESDAY. "The Mystery of the Tea Dansant" Shortly after the mysterious disappearance of Marguerite Wheeler, an - heiress, her mother receives a note Remanding $5,000 for the girl's return. Ruth, the girl detective, assumes charge of the case and advises the frantfc mother to comply with the demand. Harry Warrington, whose life the girl detective had saved in a previous case, uses his political Influence to secure a position on the force. He becomes Ruth's assistant The two find that the trail leads to the Tea Dansant conducted by Marmaduke. THURSDAY. There Is literally a riot of fun when Charles Chaplin takes "A Night Out," which Is the title of his second Essanay two-reel comedy. With Ben Turpln, Chaplin attempts to drink the town dry. They spill a pie over a giant, who hurls them out of the cafe Into the street after nearly choking them to death. They manage to zig-zag their way to their hotel, where Chaplin Is horrified by running across a woman in pajamas, with a poodle. The dog follows Chaplin to his room and the pajama clad woman chases after her pet. The terrified Chaplin takes refuge in his bath room. FRIDAY. "The Silent Plea" Immediately after his admittance to the bar, John Aldrich tells Marie Carson the good
news and confesses his love. She is obliged to tell her good friend that she does not love him and announces her engagement to Phil Carson. John, concealing his Borrow, goes abroad on business. Shortly after her marriage to Phil, the latter is killed by an automobile and Marie moves to the city to Beek work.

ence of Dr. Clow, Jack's mend, ne drives his would-be son-in-law from the house and makes a will disinheriting Lucy If she ever marries Bedford. Next morning, Jones' breakfast is spoiled by his daughter remarking upon his sickly appearance. En route to his office he is' met by several of his friend, who also comment upon his "looking badly." When

"The Lucky Transfer." F6rd and Ransom, two crooks, rob a store, and among other valuable things help themselves to a quantity of stamped envelopes with the name of a firm printed In the corner. Helen Holland, reporter for the Herald, tries in vain to ferret out the obbery. One day on the street she bumps into a little girl, and a letter in the child's hand flutters to the ground. In picking it up, Helen notices that the name and address in the upper corner of the en
velope have been scratched out. THURSDAY. Muriel Manning, reporter on the Evening Statesman, traces a mysterious murder case, for the solution of
which her paper has offered a reward Of 1500, to Mrs. Martin Madison, wife of the president of the local trust company. Madison Is on the point of foreclosing the $500 mortgage on Muriel's home, where she supports her old mother, and the girl is Insanely anxious to win the money. FRIDAY. "The Two Sentences." Jim Rogers, a rising young lawyer, returns to the city to - find that Helen Wade, Ms fiance, has become - the wife of another man. Rogers buries himself In his profession.- Later, as judge of the criminal court he is called upon to try Helen's husband, Tom Carter, on a charge of assault to kill. Tom is found guilty, and Helen goes to Rogers and pleads that he make the sentence one year. only, not twenty.

Lyric Films TONIGHT. J. Warren Kerrigan stars in "The Storm." This is a two reel melodrama. Kerrigan is cast as John Margin, a young attorney. Marvin is engaged to Helen Cartwright, a part played by Vera Sisson. Marvin has never met Helen's father, but when she introduces her fiance to him Marvin recognizes his from an old photograph left fo him by his dead mother. Marvin contemplates avenging the wrong done by Helen's father to his mother, but a flash of lightning kills his intended victim., SUNDAY, William Clifford and Marie Walcam star In "The Blood of the Children," a pictorial denunciation of child labor. No drama in recent years has aroused more discussion in the south. Many of the cotton men admitted that the conditions depicted in the drama were faithfully drawn from life. TUESDAY. Jefferson De Angells stars in "The Funny Side of Jealousy." Those who have paid $2 for a seat to see this famous comic opera star will greet him like an old friend. An incendiary bomb sets a jealous husband on fire and a wild leap into the ocean
