"GRAND OLD SOLDIER BOYS"
MASONS INVITE TWO LODGES TO INITIATION
BY LEWI8 C. KINO. Old Soldier Seth fought like the rest, To save this grand old land ; Talks Lookout Mountain, Eagle's Nest, Twas there he took his stand. And there's Old Dave, great dash he made, 'Round rear of Rebels wheeled: He likes to talk of Sheridan's raid. And his gallop into the field. Now comes Old William, John and Joe, With Grant were in the fight; They tell us all about Shiloh, The horrors day and night. Oh. yes, Old Dick, good soldier he Talks Gettysburg and Meade; Appomattox, surrender of General Lee To Grant, which we like to read. They tell their deeds to you and me, We give attentive ear; We hear Old Sherman's march to sea. Song "March Through Georgia," dear. We love to hear what the old boys say, By them we always stand; We owe them a debt that we never can pay. They made this country grand. Ah, sad, they are dying, many and fast. Brave soldiers, worthy men; Ere long, to rest they will have passed, God takes them home again. Now younger men of the great U. S. Have registered an oath, To kep alive their memories, bless And to them plight their troth. Memorial day, oh, let us keep It, one to consecrate; Demand a law, good, strong and deep. That none shall desecrate.

GAR'S IMPACT SNAPS POLE INTO 3 PIECES
Driving a new eight-cylinder highpowered automobile for the second time brought grief to a party of Cambridge City residents yesterday afternoon. The owner is Mr. Krelll of Morris and Krell, dry goods merchants and the driver was Mr. Manlove. Their wives were in the machine with them. West of Hagerstown, near Millville,
Manlove turned the machine direct
ly into a telegraph pole when within thirty feet of it. The telegraph pole
was broken into three pieces. The ma
chine fared less badly but one of the
women was thrown out and slightly in

about three months ago, leaving his wife and child at the home of relatives there. He had raiserd a large amount of cash by forging small checks, engaging in unlawful real estate deals and selling .a set of law books, which is said to be the only means by which he secured money legitimately. It was believed at that time that Sells had gone to Central or South America to try his fortune. Whether he has gone and returned is not known. He appeared suddenly in a northern Indiana town and was arrested and held at Anderson. Sells prchably will be dealt with leniently. Although there are many charges against him in Elwood and Indianapolis and some unfiled charges in Wayne county, the affidavit on which he was arrested was brought by Harry P. Wolfe of Indianapolis, for issuing a worthless check for J3.

president and E. M. Haas, who prob
ably will succeed C. W. Jordan as secretary, will call a meeting before Wednesday night if possible.
The business man, especially, needs food in the morning that will not overload the stomach, but give mental vigor for the day. Much depends on the start a man gets each day as to how he may expect to accomplish the work on hand. He can't be alert with a heavy, fried-meat-and-potatoes breakfast, requiring a lot of vital energy in digesting it. A Calif, business man found a food combination for producing energy. He writes : "For years I was unable to find a
breakfast food that had nutrition enough to sustain a business man j
without overloading his stomach, causing indigestion and kindred ailments. "Being a very busy and also a very nervous man, I had about decided to give up breakfast altogether. But luckily I was induced to try GrapeNuts. "Since that morning I have been a new man ; can work without tiring, my head is clear and my nerves strong and quiet. "I find that Grape-Nuts, with a little sugar and a small quantity of cold milk, makes a delicious morning meal, which invigorates me for the day's business." Name given by Postum Co.- Battle Creek, Mich. Read, "The Road to Wellville," in pkgs. "There's a Reason." Ever read the above letter? A new one appears from time to time. They are genuine, true, and full of human interest. adv.
