. Everett (Sully) Sullivan is thinking seriously of putting a road team in the field this summer, and with that idea in view is scouting for available material. Sully is of the opinion that a crackerjack team can be picked out of local talent, and that no trouble would be had in arranging bookings. He is sure of arranging dates with all gas belt cities, and providing everything turns out right, Richmond will have a high class road team this season, something which it has not boasted of for several years.

BRUDAKER GETS OFFER TO PLAY WITH RICHMOND
Chances that . Shad Cunningham's baseball team of Muncie will enter the proposed Sunday league are not flattering as Shad intimated that he Is In the ring with Rohrer and Smith of Cincinnati, backers of the Independent Semi-Pro Association. Shad will play independent ball this summer. Vogel, manager of the Indianapolis T. T.'s, in quite a lengthy article In the Indianapolis Star said that his
team was being considered seriously for a berth in the league. Maybe he
has that Impression but the local club
would much rather see Cambridge City
in than the T. T.'s.
Mr. Frohnapfel of Cambridge City, has been approached on the subject by an official of the local club and states that he is out of the game for good.
Doc Littel and Mr. Wheeler of the same city will be broached on the
proposition.
In a letter to Ray Brubaker, New
Castle, writes that if a league Is form
ed they will want Bru to play with
them so it appears. Tommy Ritter is handling the destinies of the club until a manager is appointed by the Max-well-Briscoe firm. Brubaker has been offered a berth with the local club for the season and if accepted will be placed on third. Bru has been offered better inducement than any third Backer has ever received from, the
locals. The meeting which was scheduled for tonight has been postponed until Wednesday night.

RICHMOND TRIUMPHS OVER HAMILTONIANS
STARRS MAY DROP FROM LEAGUE PLAY
From appearances the S. A. L. will be a six club circuit this season. No decision has been reached by the Starr Pianos whether they will have a team or not, and up to date the Natcos have done nothing. Lavenstein, their man-iF'T, has been unable to get them together in a business way, and a meet probably will be arranged between the president, vice president and secretary of the league with Mr. Bockhoff and Lavenstein. Eb Lichtenfels will give his answer some time before Friday of this week as to whether or not his team will enter the league. He ' also ' said the Starrs would not take part in the Indoor league, but has been asked to reconsider his decision.
Badel Geyer will guard the Greeks' goal tonight in place of Lancaster, who will "ie unable to play because of the death of his uncle, Richard' (Dick) Smith. Badel has consented to to act as relief man, assuring the Greeks' followers of a good guardian. This will be the second game of the series, which started last week, when the Seeders triumphed over the Greeks, but to get the decision tonight they will have to work harder. The defeated team's ire is up. The Seeders, with all the confidence in the world are going into the battle with a determination to bring the series to a close as soon as possible, their aim being to take three in a row. The same line-ups, with the exception of Geyer for the Greeks, will be used aa last week. Those hard battlers, the eKystones and Kandyankles, will stage the curtain raiser, and promise to furnish real excitement.

The "Y" bowling team once more triumphed over an Ohio "Y," this time taking Hamilton down the line for a two to one count. The two teams rolled for total pins in the three games played and the locals defeated them 18 pins. Snyder of the locals shot high score of 201 while Birdsong of Hamilton got high total with 531. VIGRAN SEES YOUNG TRAIN FOR JEFFRIES
Sam Vigran visited in Cincinnati yesterday, and while there took a ruu out to Harry Wuest's gymnasium, to watch Cy Young, who is billed to face Ray Jeffries March 30. Sam says Ray is in for one good fight when he faces Cy, as the latter, from his work yesterday, plainly showed that he is a pastmaster in the fight game. He has fought such men as Freddie Welsh, Abe Attel, Kid Herman, Spider Britton, Leo Roux and others of enviable reputations. Sailor Zarmanski also worked out while Sam was in the gym. Billy Benson is backing the next fight, and has made arrangements to hold the bouts in the Eagles' hall. The contract for the ring has been let and canvas will be placed over the floor.
