MONDAY. "War" is a special feature in two parts. The Schultz and Du Bois families, keepin respectively, delicatessen and baltery shops,' and living in the Eame apartment house, are the best of friends until the European war breaks out then the German in one and the French in the other family comes to the surface with an outburst of patriotism. Little Johnnie Du Bois and Heinle Schultz start things by their "Hoch der Kaiser" and "Vive La France," with the result that they are soon engaged in a miniature war of their own. Their parents are furious and the Du Bois. in the flat overhead, stamp on the floor and shour their bnttlecrp, while the Schultzes, down stairs, respond in kind. TUESDAY. "File No. 113." Gaston de Clameran, lover of Valentine de la Verberie, overhears a sneering remark in a cafe. Jules Lazet, who make3 the insulting speech, is a rival. A melee ensues, find Gaston stabs Lazet. He has to flee the country. His sweet heart is taken to Paris by. her mother, and there marries the wealthy banker, Fauvel. He knows nothing of her secret how, after Gaston's flight, their child was born, only to live a 'few months. Louis, brother of Gaston, discovers that Valentine does not know it is dead. Twenty years later, Valentine is living happily with her husband and her daughter, Madeleine, who is bethrothed to Prosper, Fauvel's confidential clerk, when Louis presents himself at her homo, bringing a young man whom he introduces as her son, Raoul.

WEDNESDAY. Why was Harry Warrington kidnapped? Who Were the crlmnals who dared enter the young millionaire's mansion and carry him away? The police are completely at sea when the girl detective takes charge of the case. Brilliant work results in the discovery of a clue which takes the girl sleuth to the rendevous of a band of anarchists in the heart of the city's slums. Learning : that Olga, sweetheart of Michaels, the leader of the band, knows all the secrets of the organization, the girl detective cleverly wins her friendship. It develops that Warrington had joined the band under the impression that it was devoted to noble purposes. The realization of his mistake caused the young society man to withdraw his support. In revenge, the anarchists kidnapped him with the idea of compelling him to pay a heavy sum for his freedom. But the girl detective foils the band and brings the anarchists to justice. CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., March 13. The March meeting of the Woman's Home Missionary society was held Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. H. Bryan. The subject, "Missionary Work Among Indians" was presented in a comprehensive manner, by Mrs. M. II. Gaar. Readings on the same line of thought were given by Mrs. John Scheid, and Mrs. C. M. Daily.
