BOARD MAY BUILD EXECUTIVE OFFICE FOR PLAYGROUNDS Schools Will Follow Recommendation' Made by Physical Director Nohr for Improving Diamond. - Recommendations (or Improvements to the public playgrounds at Twentythird, and South A streets have been submitted to the school board by Physical Director Robert Nohr. The depressions on the baseball diamond will be filled in and the field rolled and graded. A new rubber home plate will be put in place. The tennis courts will be re-drained, and given a new layer of sand which will be rolled Into the, surf ace. The suggestions include the remodeling of the locker rooms, and the building of an executive office at one end of the present building. Mr. Nohr said today that all the school playgrounds would probably be put in better shape this year as the school board would receive a substantial fund from the city for this purpose. - The sum of $1,600 has been appropriated to be used at the discretion of the board.

Women Appear As Old As Their Hair

It is astonishing to see how much good-looking hair does toward produclag a youthful appearance. It is astonishing also to realize how much the attractiveness of the hair is affected by the care wegive it, especially In the matter of "cleansing. In washing the hair It is not advisable to use a makeshift, but always use a preparation made for shampooing only. You can enjoy the best that Is known for about three cents a shampoo by getting a package of canthrox from your druggist; dissolve a teaspoonful ' in a cup of hot water and your shampoo is ready. After its use the hair dries rapidly, with uniform color. Dandruff, excess oil and dirt are dissolved and entirely disappear. Your hair will be so fluffy that it will look much heavier than it is Its lustre and softness will also delight you, while the stimulated scalp gains the health which insures hair growth. adv.

Btate; and now, for this town is for the first time put in communication with the outer world by railroad, we predict for it a prosperous era." ; Another . railroad was the Chicago and Great Eastern more commonly known as the Cincinnati and Chicago Air Line, which Is the same as the present Cincinnati-Chicago division of the Pennsylvania. At that time a station was also located at the place where the railroad crosses the National road and the Interurban line. Used Same Roadbed. Two other roads which were laid on the routes now held by the Pennsylvania were the Dayton and Western and the Indianapolis and Columbus Central. Richmond was the eastern terminus for the Dayton road. Both these roads used the same road bed from New Paris to Richmond. Of the two projected railroads one was built and is now in use. It is the present O. R. and I. and was then being . organized as the Richmond and Fort -Wayne. The other is the Louisville and Lake Erie which would have passed through Cambridge City northeast across the county. The lower part to Louisville was constructed and is now in use, running to Cambridge City and into Richmond. Following the railroad directory, is a paragraph regarding the railroad centers: "There are two very important railroad centers In Wayne county Cambridge City and Richmond. Both these cities are surrounded by highly

cultivated farms, well supplied wun excellent water power and are consennentlv hrtth excellent DointS for

HOW THIN PEOPLE CAN GET FAT

Increase in Weight Ten Pounds or

More

A Physician's Advice.

"I'd certainly give most anything to

be able to fat up a few pounds and stay that way," declares every excessively thin man or woman. Such a

result is not impossible, despite past failures. Thin people are victims of

i malnutrition, ,4 condition . which pre?

vents tne fatty elements oi rood irom being taken-up by the blood as they are when the powers of nutrition are normal. Instead of getting into the blood, all the fat and flesh producing elements stay in the intestines until they pass from the body as waste. To correct this condition and to produce a healthy normal, amount of fat the nutritive processes must be artificially supplied with the power which nature has denied them. This can best be accomplished by eating a Sargol tablet with every meal. Sargol is a scientific combination of six of the best strength giving, fat-producing elements known to the medical profession. Taken with meals, it mixes with the food and turns the sugars and starches into rich, ripe nourishment for the tissues and blood and its rapid effect is remarkable. Reported gains of from ten to twenty-five pounds in a single month are by no means infrequent. Yet its action is perfectly natural and absolutely harmless. Sargol is sold by Leo H. Fine, Richmond, and other good druggists everywhere and every package contains a guarantee of weight increase or money back. Caution: While Sargol has produced remarkable results in the treatment of nervous indigestion and general stomach disorders, it should not, owing to its remarkable flesh producing effect, be used by those who are not willing to increase their weight ten pounds or more. HOG TRADE PERFORMS WELL

Live stock values have been 'uneven this. week, due largely to the elimination of the New York demand, caused by Pennsylvania refusing to allow live stock purchased 'at Chicago, to pass across its borders. Cattle prices nave suffered a large decline, while hogs and sheep worked upward from the outset, although yesterday with liberal receipts, they had a reaction. Receipts of catUe have been .of good volume, considering prevailing conditions and restricted shipping demand. Sheep supply was comparatively small despite the high price level. Traders have confidence in the sheep market, although eastern competition is lacking. Cattle, particularly heavy kinds, have no bright outlook. The hog trade has shown weakness after higher Monday prices, but the surprising feature is that the decline was not very great, even though packers had a good chance to force a large reaction. ' Hog receipts have been liberal for many manths and undoubtedly will continue comparatively large for some time to come, still prices hold up well.

nINSHAV PURCHASES FARM FOR $18,000

Paul, east halt of the northwest quarter of section 3, township 15, range 12, east, eighty acres, southwest of Cambridge City, for $3,500, and that of William Sultan to Jacob Hinshaw, part of the southwest and southeast quarters of section 4, township 16, range 13 east, in the extreme northwest corner of the township, 215 acres, for $18,000.

Bunions and Sore Feet Don't endure foot agony. Here is surest and quickest remedy known. "Two tablespoonfuls of Calooide compound in warm footbath." This gives instant relief; sore bunions are soon reduced; corns and callouses can be peeled; right off; excess sweating or tenderness is overcome. It acts through the pores and removes the cause. Large box of Calocide twenty-five cents at any drug or general store. Prepared at Medical Formula laboratories, Dayton, Ohio.

Tls means that packers realise that money is to be made out of hogs And they do hot care to break prices severely to check the supply. ' v" , Quality of hogs continues better than usual and, with "shippers practically out of the market, packers are willing to support, the trade because they are able to put up excellent droves around $2 lower than a year ago.

Either Way Drugs Are Harmful! If a coffee drinker, have you stopped to think that, with every cup of coffee, you are taking from two to three grains of caffeine, a slow, but powerful drug? According to medical authorities, caffeine is a cause of nervousness, heart trouble, indigestion, constipation and other ailments. It's a cumulative drug, and what's more, a habit-forming drug. Sometime, when the coffee-drug gets in its licks, you'll realize the harm it does; but wouldn't it be better to avoid trouble stop coffee now and use Postum. It is a pure food-drink, made from selected wheat and a little wholesome molasses, carefully roasted, ground and skillfully blended. This gives it a snappy taste much like that rich, old Java, but Postum is absolutely free from caffeine, or any other harmful ingredient. Postum comes In two forms: Postum Cereal requires boiling 15c and 25c pkgs. Instant Postum a soluble form no boiling required made Instantly In the cup with hot water 30c and 50c tins. The difference is only rn the form. Both kinds are equally wholesome and delicious and the cost per..cup is about the same. Be sure to ask for the kind you want. .
