MILTON ROAD CASE HALTS UPON WORK Tied up in court until the petitioners pay the court costs, Milton road proceedings are at a standstill where they were a year and a half ago and the county commissioners are worrying over the fact that high water is expected. The old strip of road which was washed out by the flood in 1913 has never been repaired because of the anticipated fill on which a new road will be made across the dangerous district. The fill is about 200 yards in length and is half made. The commissioners fear the river will flood across the old road and wash out the new fill unless steps are taken to complete it. The commissioners said at their last session that they will not pay the costs of the case in court and thus release the proceedings. The suit was brought by the remonstrators after the county refused to pay them damages in ad vance. RAISES RELIEF FUND Concert at Eaton Attracts 600 Persons. EATOX. O.. March 8. More than six hundred people attended a band concert Sunday afternoon at the Armcry for the purpose of raising funds to assist the Preble County Belgian Relief commission in its endeavor to provide supplies for the starving inhabitants of that war-stricken country. A collection was taken and a nice sum realized. During intermission L. L. Brown, chairman of the relief commission made a plea for donations. He de clared liberal responses had been made to previous calls, and that more than a ton of supplies had been received at the K. of P. temple. It is planned to send a carload of supplies from Preble county March 10. DEATHS IN PREBLE EATON, O., March 8. George W. Hardin, former superintendent of the Preble County Children's Home, who died Saturday night at his home southwest of Eaton, was one of the county's well known and respected agriculturalists. He had been ill since November from the effects of heart ailment, and his condition during the last three weeks had been critical. Mr. Hardin was born January 31, 1866, on a farm near Collinsville, Butler county. He came to Preble county in 1903, and since that time had resided near Eaton. He is survived by his widow and one son, Clyde Hardin; his mother, Mrs. Mary Haynes of Richmond, Ind., and two sUters, Mrs. Jerry Truster and Mr6. Robert Finley, both residing at Collinsville. Funeral services will be held Tues day afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late home, conducted by the Rev. George H. Smith pastor of St. Paul's Metho dist Episcopal church. Burial will be in Mound Hill cemetery. TEACHES FARMERS HOW TO PRUNE EATON, O., March 8. Under direc tion of the State College of Agriculture, a pruning and spraying demon stration will be conducted March 19 in an orchard owned by Jacob Martz, five miles northwest of Eaton. The demonstration will be made during the afternoon. During last spring several demonstrations were made in this county, and results are said to have been highly satisfactory to orchard owners. Theatrical Notes Promises of the Press Agent "My last boss was a grand man, but his wife took an awful grouch on me he had to fire me." Wonder if that is a familiar line to any stenographer in this city? At any rate it is a line taken from Jack Lait's play. "Help Wanted," which set all New York and Chicago In a whirl owing to the reinarkable everyday business office ttory it developed. The author has hit pon a subject of universal appeal and the interest in the piece la the best warrant of its extenslveness. It will be seen at the Gennett theatre on Friday night. Beats will be ready at the Murray Wednesday morning.

Cambridge Mrs. Willard Ulricb and daughter, Katherine. Patrick Sommers is spending the week with, relatives in Richmond, The musical comedy "PPWQ n Alabam" given Thursday and Friday nights in the Hurst theatre, ueder the auspices of the M. E. Sunday school, attracted well-filled houses, each evening. The entertainments with George A. Parker, director, depicted a realistic southern scene, with Col. Liscomb's plantation home near Decatur, Ala., forming the picturesque scene for the plot, the play bringing out in true light the southern life, including the gentry, the negroes from the quarters, and the piccaninnies, while the visitors from Memphis, formed one of the vital incidents of the play; of equal interest was the lantern drill by ten girls and seven ages of cuddling, "Mother and Babe," tots, quarrelling boy and girl, sweethearts, bride and groom, father and mother, grandfather and grandmother, in imitation of Shakespeare's "Seven Ages of Man." 1219 A Seasonable Attractive Style. Sure Way to Get Rid of Dandruff There is one sure way that never fails to remove dandruff completely and that is to dissolve it. This destroys it entirely. To do this, Just get about four ounces of plain, ordinary liquid arvon; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it In gently with the finger tips. By morning most, if not all, of your dandruff will be gone, and threes or four more applications will completely dissolve and entirely destroy every single sign and trace of it no matter how much dandruff you may have. You will find, too, that all itching and digging of the scalp will stop instantly, and your hair will be fluffy, lustrous, glossy, silky and soft, and look and feel a hundred times better. You can get liquid arvon at any drug store. It is inexpensive, and four ounces is all you will need. This simple remedy has never been known to fail adv. OTICE OF EXECUTOR'S SALE OF REAL ESTATE.
