SEEDERS EXPECT TO PLAY GREEKS 5 GAMEJERIES Fans Clamor for Matches Between Leaders in Old City League-Oesting and Abel Will Play The Seeders have been selected as the representative five to meet the Munele polo artists in the game Thursday night at the Coliseum with the Kandy Ankles and Keystones staging the Pre-lim. In a letter received from Manager Campbell of the Muncie team today he stated that no expense had been spared on the , occasion of his teams last visit to this city and the fact that Houston was unable to use his skates was a lamentable occurrence and that it would not happen again. "We were determined to win that game last week," intimated Mr. Campbell, "as the fans in Muncie are very much worked up over the fact that we have been unable to win a single game on the Richmond floor." - .una are under way to stage a fivegame series between the Greeks and Seeders because of the clamoring among the local fans that a series between the two teams will furnish more hot sport and enthusiasm than any visiting team could afford. It is planned to start this series next week, if possible Monday night. Oesting will all probability be used in the Greeks lineup with Abel shifting over to the Seeders at half back. This would give both team good strong defenses and "some games" should result.

BROOKVILLE 'FIVE LOOMS AS DARK HORSEJJF MEET New Castle and Rushville Writers Pick Franklin County Team to Defeat Quintet From Hagerstown. The dark horse team has been discovered before the opening rounds of the district basketball tourney. Brookvllle has the team which may upset the dope and cause the careful plotting and planning of dopesters, who have an ample supply of "I-told-you-so" sayings on hand, to go wild. The best asset the Brookville team has is a record of two games won from Connersvllle. This should be worth something. Connersville lost one each to Richmond and Rushville, and won the other game from these two teams Now if Brookville displays such call bre as this in the tournament, the boys from Franklin county may put Hagerstown out of the fight. If they do New Castle will face the crisis of either eliminating Brookville or being eliminated. Rushville In Finals? Sport writers of Rushville and New Castle have been sizing up the Brookville team from a distance and are of the opinion that the Franklin county team is one of the strongest contenders. A. C. Hiner of the Rushville Republican, predicts that his team will play in the finals. This can mean only one thing that Rushville is confident of defeating Richmond. On the other hand, "Rat" Ratcllffe of the New Castle Courier, says Richmond and New Castle will play the finals. He shares the view with Richmond that Rushville will be on the sidelines when the deciding game is called. If Hagerstown defeats Brookville, Ratcliffe anticipates little difficulty for the Rose City team, which has already humbled the upper Wayne team twice. But if Brookville wins, which he expects, he predicts a harder fight for New Castle on the road to the finals.

The 1915 pennant fight in the National League probably will be between the Giants and the Braves. Unless some miracle is wrought, the Phillies, Dodgers, Pirates, Cubs, Cardinals and Reds will not figure very largely in the bunting battle. But don't bet against the chance of that sextet. This is the age of miracles. That was demonstrated last year in the case of the Braves. None of the six teams mentioned looks strong enough on paper to give a real battle to the Braves or Giants. But you never can tell.
The Giants chances depend very largely on what the young pitchers can do. McGraw has an army of them and ought to extract two or three good ones from the lot. Tesreau on Mound. Tesreau probably will be the Giants mainstay this year. Mathewson is getting old, but he should have a good year. Matty, if not worked too often, ought to be good for at least 60 per cent of his games. It is not certain at this writing, whether Marquard will be with the Giants when the season opens. Even if he is it is not certain what he will do. He may have a good year and he may not. Fromme, another of the Giant veterans probably will
be worked only as a relief pitcher.
Schupp, Schauer, Ritter and Palrnero from the Savannah club
do, McGraw will have a pitching staff that need not cause him worry. The Giant infield probably will be Merkle at first, Doyle at second. Fletcher at short and Lobert at third. None of the youngsters seem to be good enough to replace the veterans, at least at the start of the season. McGraw Well Supplied. In the outfield, McGraw will have Burns, as certainly in left field, for the other two fields he will have Robertson, Piez, Bescher, Snodgrass, Murray and Thorpe to draw from, with the chances of favoring Robertson and Snodgrass. Behind the bat, McGraw is well fortified. He has a star in Smith, secured

PLANS 1916 TOURNEY
"Why not have a basketball tourney htre next January, doing away with many of the short trips?" asked Prin
cipal Pickell today. : The plan is to have teams from Cen- j terville, Hagerstown, Connersville,! Rushville, Fountain City and a few I others assemble in this city the last January for the tourney, the same as i the coming elminution contest. A plan : of this sort wonli be very likely to be a go, and would tend to put basketball ! on a firm footing with the fans, be- j sides being a boost for the city.
LEAGUE HEADS MEET
Everything is all set for the meeting of the S. A. L. tonight at the Y. M. C. A. Practically all applications for membership in the league this summer were in at noon. No action will be taken on the Grays' application. The Robinsons who held a franchise last year will not make an attempt to get in as with most of the team members not working there now and with the outlook very poor that they would be this summer it was decided by the manager of the team not to apply for a berth.
With a population of 455,614, Manitoba had 30.944 French, 16,021 Ger-! mans, 39,665 Austro-Hungarians, 2,453 i Belgians., 2,853 Dutch, 10.741 Jews, j 12,310 Poles, 8,841 Russians and 16,419 Scandinavians.

Some very remarkable results are being obtained by treating stomach,
liver and intestinal troubles with pure: vegetable oils, which exert a cleansing. soothing nnd purifying action upon the lower bowels, removing the i obstructions of poisonous fecal matter and gases and preventing their ab-j sorption by the blood. This done, the i food is allowed free passage from the j
stomach, fermentation ceases and stomach troubles quickly disappear. George H. Mayr, for twenty years a leading Chicago druggist cured himself and many of his friends of stomach, liver and intestinal troubles of year's standing by this treatment, and son successful was this remedy he devised that it has since been placed in the hands of druggists all over the country, who have sold thousands of bottles. Though absolutely harmless, the effect of the medicine Is sufficient to convince any one of its remarkable effectiveness, and within 24 hours the sufferer feels like a new person. Mayr's Wonderful Remedy is sold by leading druggists everywhere with the positive understanding that your money will be refunded without question or quibble if ONE bottle fails to give you absolute satisfaction adv.

Rushville's ball club is to have a j grand stand "of which the city may j well be proud." The newly elected di- j rectors who ordered the improvement ,
are well known in Richmond gaseball circles. They are Mark Purcell, Will Brann, Harry Beale, L. C. Sharp and George Putenney. Modest Jack Remington, manager of the Connersville team, during a talk to the Rushville stockholders admitted
that his team was the best in the state,
but conceded a certain amount of fear and respect for the Rushville nine.
