William Sparrow of Indianapolis, and Miss 9elle Sparrow ol Anderson, lud.. visited at the home of F. M. Davlsson and wife this week. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Zehring entertain- . ed on Wednesday, Mr. David Banta, Homer Banta and family or Dayton, and Mrs. Albert Banta and son. Russell. Mr. and Mrs. John Shumaker were vary pleasantly surprised on last Tuesday evening, when a number of their neighbors came in unexpectedly about 7 o'clock. An oyster supper was served and a general good time had. Those who contributed to the pleasure of the evening were Irvin Bucke aad wife, Mr. and Mrs. A. CBanfill. William Trone and family. George Banta and family. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Zehring and Cifford Howell and family. Mr. and Mrs. Shumaker will soon leave the neighborhood. Miss Carrie Buhrman was in Lewisburg Tuesday. Martin Wehrley and wife moved to their new home, south of town, recently purchased of Nelson Brown, on Wednesday last. William Trone and family were Sunday guests of Clifford Howell and family. Mrs. Rose Jackson spent the past week with her daughter, Mrs. F. M. Davlsson. Misses Ruby Guenther, Sylvia Trone. Anna Geeting, Myrle GuentSer, Ray Brown and Miss Florence Howell attended the Farmers' Institute at Eldorado Wednesday eveningHenry Howard and wife of Greenville, spent Wednesday with -Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Bucke, Mrs. Jacob Zehring and Mrs. A. C. BanfUl were afternoon visitors. Miss Susan Guenther is the guest of Eldorado relatives this week. On Wednesday afternoon Grandmother Sparrow, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Davlsson this winter, died at their home, south of town, of pneumonia. A short service was held at the house Friday morning, after which the remains were brought here and taken to her home at Anderson, Ind., where burial will be made. Mrs. Sparrow was aged 48 years.
