Baseball Polo Bowling UNFAIR REFEREE LEADS RICHMOND TO FORFEIT GAME "Y" Five, WMi Score Tied, Leaves Middletown Floor When Official "Plays" With Ohio Team. Middletown, 2; Richmond, 0. felt.):(For. With., the score, 29-29, and. five minutes to play, the "Y" basket hall team left the floor at Middletown, O., Saturday, night after many unjust . decisions ty the referee. The' fact that the local team made 20 points to their opponents 7 ip th last half, made the referee try to help them out. by calling fouls that were not fouls.. The locals started with Kinder and Laning at forwards and Schepman and Parker at guard while Roach held down the pivot position. Middletown started off with a rush and had piled up a total of 9 poihts before the" locals started. Toward the last of the first half Jones took Kinderls place at forward but it did not help matters very macs that half. .. . . ; The score stood 229 at the beginning, of the second half in favor of Middletown but, several nice' plays, pn the part of the locals placed, them "a lew points behind and from then it was a rough and tumble game- of which Middletown got the best. Then the referee called a foul on Jones and when Captain Schepman objected he called another on Schepman, who kicked again upon which the referee called -another. This was too raw eo Roach's men left the floor. j Laning as usual played the best game for the "Y" while Dunlam played the best game for the winners. Score: Y. M. C -- G. leaning, F 6 Kinder, F 2 A. To Cure Catarrhal Deafness end Head Noises Persons suffering from catarrhal deafness and head noises will be glad to know that this distressing affliction can usually be successfully treated at home by an internal medicine that in many instances has effected a complete cure after other treatments have failed. Sufferers who could scarcely head a watch tick tell how they have had their hearing restored to such an extent that the tick of a watch was plainly audible seven or eight inches away from either ear. Therefore, If you know of someone who Is troubled with head noises or catarrhal deafness, cut out this formula and hand it to them and you will have been the means of saving some poor sufferer perhaps from total deafness. The prescription can be prepar - ed at home and Is made as follows: Secure from your druggist 1 oz. Parmint (Double Strength), about 75c worth. Take this home, and add to it M pint of hot water and 4 oz. of granulated sugar; stir until dissolved. Take one tablespoonful four times a day. Parmint is used in this way not only to reduce by tonic action the inflammation and swelling in the Eustachian Tubes, and thus to equalize the air pressure on the drum, but to correct any excess of secretions in the middle ear, and the results it gives are nearly always quick and effective. Every person who has catarrh in' any form should give this recipe a trial and free themselves from this destructive disease. adv.

BY FRANK G. MENKE, Sporting Editor of the International News Service. NEW YORK, Janl. 18.--The acquisition of Larry Lajoie makes it seem certain that the Athletics will.be in the 1915 pennant fight all the way. Don't be surprised If they get away in the front and lead the parade to the wire, despite efforts of the dangerous Red Sox to do. the overhauling stunt. It seems to be the proper thing just now to spoof the pennant chances of the Athletics simply because Eddie Collins, Charles Bender, Eddie Plank iuujiw:ii.twms no longer uave iiieir x ' LARRY LAJOIE. names enrolled in the lineun. Two o"the games, would be played in Richmond, the third away from the city. A st ries with the' Greenville team will depend largely on whether Bull Durham manages the nine or not. Officers of the Athletic association said heretofore fans had demanded that the management load up with, alleged stars for the bigger games. Thin they said was not only expensive bi often resulted in a mixed bunch ci players who were in it for the mone; and did not put up as good a game ar. the" regulars who were benched lor the day. Consequently players to be eligible in the proposed inter-city games must have played in five games previous to the opening of the aeries. Delicious brown cakes made from Mrs. Austin's Pancake Flour.
