The department of agriculture has removed the foot and mouth disease quarantine from thirty-eight counties in Illinois and modified it in eight others, and lifted it from Connecticutt, excepting Hartford and New Haven counties. New quarantines were placed on Tioga county, New York, and Tuscola county, Michigan.
