Social Calendar

A called meeting of the Social Aid of the Reid Memorial Presbyterian church will be held at the church at 2:30 o'clock.

The 'members of the Moose lodge will give a party iu the evening in the Moose hall.

A bazaar and market will be Riven by the Woman's Aid society of the United Brethren church at 500 Main street. The wedding of Mr. Earl Shriber of New Palestine, Indiana, and Miss Mable Bollmefer, daughetr of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bollmeyer of North Eighteenth street, will be solemnized at 6 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents.

The Tuesday card club has postponed its meeting on account of the holidays.

Ye Olden Time Dancing club will give a dance in the Odd Fellow's hall. Miss Mable Felt of Indianapolis, ' who often visits here was a guest Saturday night at a pretty and unique Christmas dance given at the Woodruff club house by the active members of the Hutler college chapter of the Kappa Theta Sorority and the alumnae. It was the first of the Christmas parties at Butler and a very charming affair with the hall decorated in pink and lighted with pink shaded lights and pink candles. Miss Ruth Scott a student at the Boston Conservatory of music has returned home and will spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Scott of North Tenth street.

Christmas eve, Mr. William Russell Wright and Miss Edith Duke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Duke will be married at the home of the bride's parents, 411 Lincoln street. . The ceremony will be performed by the Rev. Mr. McNeamer of the First Baptist church of Bloomington. Members of the immediate families with a few intimate friends will witness the ceremony. Last week several social functions were given in honor of the bride-to-be. Miss Duke is a talented young musician and has a host of friends in this city. She is a graduate of the Indianapolis College of Music.
