The Greeks and. A. S. M. fives were (he winners in the games played last night, the Greeks defeating the Quigleys 11 to D in a fast and interesting game, while the A. S. M.'s bettered the Smokes 3 to 2, but had to go overtime to do it. The largest crowd of the season witnessed the games, there being about 1,000 persons in attendance. Starting from the first tap of the gong, rooting was intense. Tln Greeks used the triple rush against the Pharmacists with telling effect, especially in the third period, when they caged the pill seven times, the result In nearly every case of good team work. The game from the scoring standpoint was even up to the third period, both teams having scored four times. Snavely's work in guardhiK the cage in the first two periods bordered on the sensational, as he made stop after slop that prevented Roals. Louey Shallenberg showed lots rf speed getting to the spot, taking 11 nut of 17. Link Minor also showed good form in breaking tip plays and once in a while would open up with imo of his hard shots for the goal. The feature of the Greeks play was probably the team work and the playing of Ketzer, who played his best, game of the season. The score:

ably was the feature of the Smokes' play, while Quigley and Evans showed best for the Seeders. Clark was nearly laid out in the first few moments when he received a bad gash over tho ear, while Oesting was struck In the chest accldently by one of the overzealous Seeders. No scores were made by either team in the first period. The Smokes went out ahead In the second when Clark got the ball from the rebound after Oesting smacked it up against the wall and tickled the draperies for the first score of the game. Quigley evened the count when he scored in short order in the third period, holding Geyer in the corner of the goal, shooting with a back-handed swipe. Clark put his team to the good a few seconds later when he shot one in the corner, unassisted, but Quigley was not to be denied and made the tying count just before the close of the period. . From' that time the playing was as good as has ever been shown on the local floor and with the Howling Hundred of the A. S. M. and the rooters for the Smokes it sure did seem like old times. Quigley let the fans go home when he put the finishing touches to the game three minutes and thirty-seven seconds after the opening of the overtime. The Seeders are now pretty well fortified in first place and the one aim of the other teams will be to pull them down. The score: SMOKE HOUSE.
