HENDRICKS SERVES AS NEW6AIID HEAD Charles Roland Calls Meeting: to Frame Laws for Boy Musicians.
Preliminary steps for the organization of a boys' band in Richmond were ;aken at the Central Christian church ast night, when the following, officers vcre elected: President, Ed Hendricks, vicepresident, T. W. Shesler; secreiary. Ora Monger; treasurer, Charles Roland. A meeting will be held next Friday night in the ofice of Charles Roland, o draw up a constitution and by-laws. All boys under 15 years of age who desire to join the band can send their names to any of the officers. The parents of the boys are also invited to ittend the meeting. The band will be under the direction af a Mr. Garrett of Muncie, who is also pepared to rent instruments to boys who do not own them.
Indianapolis, and a daughter In Danville, Ind. The body was shipped to Indianapolis at noon today, where funeral and burial services will be held. HIRSHBURG John M. Hirshburg died at Reid Memorial Hospital yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The funeral will be held from the home, at 115 South Tenth street, Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Friends may call at any time.

Work of laying the new hundred pound rails on the C. & O. lines has progressed as far as South Richmond, where a large force of men is engaged in working over the road bed and laying the heavy rails. The new rails have been laid from Cincinnati, and the track has been repaired all along the right of way from that point. The heavy track was made necessary by the large amount of heavy freight traffic which goes over the line each day.
