GERMANS GAIN

POLISH TOWN ALONG VISTULA 300 Prisoners Added When Przasnysz Falls Into Hands of Invading Army of the Kaiser. BY FREDERICK WERNER, Staff Correspondent the International News Service. BERLIN, Dec. 10 (Via Wireless) A. German victory at Przasnysz, a ;own of Poland, north of the Vistula river, resulting in the capture of that place and 600 prisoners, was announced here today. The official report of operation in both the eastern and western thetres of war was issued as follows: "In the district of Soualn the French yesterday confined themselves to heavy artillery fire. There have been renewed French attacks in the eastern region of the Argonne forest at Kocroio and at Acrouiles, but they have made no progress. Artillery Fire. "East of Mazurian lakes only artillery encounters are taking place. "In northern Poland our columns, advancing on the right bank of the Vistula, took Przasnysz by storm. Six hundred prisoners and some machine guns were captured. "The attack along the Vistula river is being continued. "In southern Poland all attacks made by the Russians have been repulsed. The failure of the French attacks in the Argonne region was due to the heavy fire our our artillery. The enemy suffered severe losses. "Yesterday three of the enemy's aviators dropped about ten bombs on the open town of Friburg, which is not situated within the range of operalions. No damage was done. The bomb-throwing incident is mentioned in order to show again that the enemy's bomb throwers have attacked open towns not within the range of operations." Chamberlain's Cough Remedy The Mothers' Favorite. "I give Chamberlain's Cough Remedy to my children when they have colds or coughs," writes Mrs. Verne Shaffer. Vandergrift, Pa. It always helps them and is far superior to any !ther cough medicine I have used. I ndvise anyone in need of such a medicine to Rive it a trial." For sale by all dealers. adv.
