STATE ANTICIPATES INDICTMENTS FOR LAST LEGISLATORS

BY LEASED WIRE. INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 4. Keen interest was manifested today in state house circle regarding the Marlon county grand jury which has spent several weeks investigating alleged irregularities in connection with bills passed and other aftalrs that transpired during the 1913 session of the Indiana general assembly. More than 150 witnesses were brought before the grand jury and while the investigation primarily started out to probe circumstances regarding two salary bills it is generally be-, lieved that many other things were inquired into. The widespread interest created by prophecies of political "dopesters" that the grand jury's report would prove a tremendous surprise, was greatly enhanced today by the information that the findings would not be made public until nearly 4 o'clock this afternoon. The utmost secrecy surrounds the grand jury's deliberations and the only basis for the anticipation of indictments was contained in the fact that the record of evidence filled more than 2,000 typewritten pages.
