WELSH GETS WORST END INJEW JERSEY Champion Goes Stale With Danger of Dropping the World's Title.
BY LEASED WIRE. NEW YORK, Dec. 3 Freddie Welsh, lightweight champion, will drop his title to some second rater if he does'nt rest soon from his many battles. This was the unanimous opinion of fans who saw the ten round mill between the English boy and Joe Shugrue of Jersey City last night at Madison Square Garden. If a decision had been given last night, Welsh would have lost the title. Welsh was outpointed throughout the fight and was badly punished, not because he was the poorer fighter, but because he was stale. And he has three more fights scheduled for the next two weeks. Welsh was far below the class he showed when he conquered Willie Ritchie, in London. He confined his battling mostly to his left hand and this would Indicate there was some truth in the story which came from Taunton, Mass., a few days ago that Welsh had hurt, if not broken, his right hand.

Practical Prescription Against Stomach Acidity Nine-tenths of all cases of stomach trouble nowadays are caused by too much acid. In the beginning the stomach itself is not diseased but if this acid condition is allowed to con
tinue, the acid is very likely to eat into the stomach walls and produce stomach ulcers which may render a radical surgical operation necessary even to prolong life. Therefore, an "acid stomach" is really a dangerous condition and should be treated seriously. It Is utterly useless to take pepsin and ordinary stomach tablets. The excess add or stomach hyperacidtty must be neutralized by the administration of an efficient antacid. For this purpose the best remedy is bisurated magnesia taken in teaspoonful doses in a fourth of a glass of water after each meal. Larger quantities may be used if necessary as it is absolutely harmless. Be sure to ask your druggist for the blsurated magnesia as other forma of magnesia make effective month washes but they hare not the same action on the stomach as the Disunited. -adv.
