GERMANS DRIVE ALLIES OUT OF YSER REGIONS
fBY LEASED WIRE. BERLIN, Nov. 12. "The Allies have been driven across the river at every point," says an official announcement isBued by the war office today. "The Yser Is now clear of the enemy all the way to the North Sea," Bays the tBtatement. "Our attacks south of Dixmuud are progressing. We have captured 700 more French soldiers and eight cannon. The counter attacks of the enemy east of Ypres have all been repulsed." As to the eastern theatre of war, It Is announced that German cavalry operating on the Kalisch front in Russian Poland, have repulsed the Russian cavalry.
CLAIM GOEBEN STRUCK BY SHELL r BY LEASED WIRE. PETROGRAD, Nov. 12. A dispatch Trom Odessa says that the Turkish eruiser Goeben was struck by a shell at the waterline during the recent bombardment of the Dardanells by an allied Anglo-French fleet and was badsly damaged. This is one of the cruisers taken over by Turkey from Germany at the outbreak of the war.

SHIPMENT OF CATTLE IN STATE PROHIBITED

An immediate order to all Indiana railroads, amounting in effect to prohibition of shipments of cattle to any point in or out of the state when such shipments start from points where the hoof and mouth disease is known to exist, or where suspicious conditions are evident, was decided upon at a conference today between Governor Ralston, the state health authorities and the state veterinarian, according to reliable information. The order will be Issued by State Veterinarian Nelson, who it Is believed, has ample authority to prohibit railroads in Indiana from receiving live stock for transportation either in transit or interstate business from points where the contagion is known to exist. RUSS CLAIMS TURK SUFFERS DEFEAT
PETROGRAD, Nov. 12. Russian troops are continuing their successful campaign against the Turks in Armenia, it is officially announced today. Every attempt of the Turks to outflank the czar's troops has been defeated. Many Prisoners have been taken by the Russians. "Small skirmishes have occurred on the border of the province of Batum," says the statement. "We maintained our position at Koprikos. Every attempt of the Turkish troops to outflank us has been defeated. We have repulsed every attack made by the Turks. The Russians have captured many prisoners and ammunition."

PLANS THANKSGIVING Dr. S. E Smith Prepares Celebration. Under direction of Dr. S. E. Smith, superintendent, a Thanksgiving propram is being arranged for the entertainment of the Inmates of the Eastern Indiana Hospital for the Insane,
at Easthaven. Dr. Smith said today the program had not been completed in detail but would follow those of preceding years in its general outline. There will be a turkey dinner, religious services and a literary program. It has been the custom for several years to make Thanksgiving day at the institution a pleasant one for the wards of the state.

MURDERER Oil TRIAL1
BY LEASED WIRE. KNOX, Ind., Nov. 12. With the state demanding the death penalty, the trial of James Cunningham, aged 21, for the murder of Frank Learman of Hamlet, Ind., began this morning in the Stark county circuit court. Learman was the proprietor of a pool room and barber shop and had always been on good terms with Cunningham. The night of the tragedy Cunningham called Learman from his place of business and with a fish spear stabbed him to death. Cunningham was captured after a long chase and rushed to the county jail to escape a mob.
ROACH GETS GAME WITH DAYTONIANS
The Little Giants of Dayton have been given a game for Dec. 12, by Coach Roach. The Dayton team comes to Richmond with a good reputation having been one of the best in the Play Ground League. Dates with the High Standards and Gyms will be announced within a few days.
CLEVELAND FINDS DISEASE OF CATTLE
BY LEASED WIRE. CLEVELAND, Ohio, Nov. 12. The first cases of foot and mouth disease in Cuyahoga County were discovered today at the Cleveland Union Stock Yards. Twelve steers, shipped from
Sbelbyville. Ind., to a Cleveland Packing Company were found to be infect ed. They were killed. The discovery means, that the Cleveland Stock Yards likely will be closed. .

FEDERAL RESERVE OFFERS SUGGESTIONS
WASHINGTON, D. C, Nov. 12. The Federal reserve system should be in operation at the earliest possible date, but at the outside it should be undertaken as a minimum of functions, and an active council of the twelve governors, with the deputy governors as alternates should be named to determine on additional functions, such as opening of branch reserve banks. These are among the recommendations in reports made public today of committees appointed at the convention of officers and directors of the federal reserve banks in thia r
