"One Day." One of the season's most important productions, a play which has created widespread attention, will be presented here at the Gennett tonight when Miss Cecil Spooner's brilliant dramatization of "One Day," Elinor Qlyn's sequel' to "Three Weeks" will be disclosed to our theatre-goers. The play is in four acts. One of the principal scenes takes place aboard an ocean

liner on the high seas, returning to

New York from Liverpool. It is on board this liner that Paul, the young crown prince of Caradalia first sees and falls madly in love with "Opal,"

a young western girl who is returning to the state. The infatuation is mutual and for the short space of one day they let their mad love lead them to a tragic end. Miss Faye Cusicfl, a young actress of note, will be seen in the role of Opal, the beautiful young heiress, while Mr. Victor Southerland, a young and handsome player who has achieved success in his chosen profession, will play the part of Paul. All indications point to great success for the play in this city.

SILENCE PREVENTS

KILLING

SUNDAY

How a colored woman saved her life by accomplishing the unusual feminine feat of keeping her mouth closed where there was a provocation to talk, has been reported to the police. A colored woman entered a South Sixth street livery barn Sunday to use the telephone. While she was thus engaged another colored woman posted her self at the entrance. On leaving the barn the woman who had been using the phone kept a discrete silence despite the dagger-pointed glances shot in her direction by the other woman. After she had disappeared down the street the second woman took from the folds of her dress a large revolver. "It's a good thing that wench didn't say nothin' to me," she exclaimed and walked away.

Love, Hair and Marriage

From the beginning of romantic history down to the present day, every story of love has spoken of the maiden's hair as one of her chief charms. Fair locks amply pay for the care and time used in keeping them beautiful, and care is all that is necessary for developing and retaining hair beauty. In washing the hair it is not advisable to use a makeshift but always use a preparation made for shampooing only. You can enjoy the best that is known for about three cents a shampoo by getting a package of canthrox from your druggist; dissolve a teaspoonful in a cup of hot water and your shampoo is ready. After Its use the hair dries rapidly with uniform color. Dandruff, excess oil and dirt are dissolved and entirely disappear. Your hair will be bo fluffy that It will look much heavier than it is. Its lustre and softness will also delight you, while the stimulated scalp gains the health which insures hair growth. Adv.
