T AND SCHOOLS . MAY GET CONNOR TO ADDRESS BOYS ' If a conference held today between officials of the Y. M. C. A. and Superintendent J. T. Giles results favorably, Richmond will soon be visited by A. W. Connor, who styles himself "boy specialist," and is presenting a series of lectures on life and character problems of young people, and sex hygiene. Believing that the subjects as presented by Mr. Connor are essential to the proper education of young people, Secretary Learner and Boys' Director Somerville of the Y. M. C. A. have asked Superintendent Giles to cooperate with them in bringing Mr. Connor to the city for one week. Mr. Giles favored the plan. Connor Sends Man. A representative of Mr. Connor was present at the conference today and explained the steps necessary to put on the course of lectures. Mr. Connor asks $250 for the week's work, but this representative Baid that if the matter was left to him he would raise that amount in two days. The course of lectures as outlined include not only instruction for the young people, but also provides for meetings with parents. It was explained that the real success of the work depended on what could be done to make the parents understand the responsibility that they, bear toward their children. and two young women who assist in the work. The course of lectures lasts an entire week, and provides for separate lectures for boys and girls. As soon as it is definitely known that the Bchools will co-operate in the movement, steps will be taken to secure a hall in which to hold the meetings.
