DROP IN PRICE LOWERS HOGS TO 13 FIGURE

. ;. 1 : '
In Ten Days Quotations Fall From Previous High Notch $2.00 on the Hundred Pounds. Glen Miller Market Reports Steady Decline in Receipts Farms Hold Stock for More Money. Hog prices all over the country last week dropped to the lowest level they have reached since June, 1913. The drop in the last ten days alone has been $2 a hundred. A further drop of 25 cents is reported this morning by eastern markets. Chicago with 40,000 head of hogs on hand reported a drop of 16 cents. Receipts on the local market continued below normal last week. The condition may be attributed to the tailing market, with farmers holding back thinking they will re-act later. Receipts of livestock at the Glen Miller yards last week were as follows: Hogs, 300, top price Saturday, 7c. Calves, 30; tops 10, heavies 6c. Lambs, 10, tops 6c. Cattle, 23, tops $7.60. Charles Brown, manager of the Ed Deitemeyer farm, north of Richmond, brought In seven heifers and two steers Saturday that brought $650,
and were pronounced the best cattle seen at the yards this season. Walter Farlow delivered four head of cattle that topped the market at $7.60. The following traders were on the market last week: Joseph King, Walter King, William Flook, William Haley, Howard Eliason, Glen Brumfield, John Eliason, Samuel Kirk D. W. Foster, E. S. Wright, Thomas Neaman, Cora McWhinney, E. V. Nichols, E. S. Grosvenor, E. Timmons, Dick Conway, Li. N. Hampton, George Worley, J. F. Edwards, Miles Shute, John Purviance, Harmon Wolke, Scott Edwards, W. D. Brawley, O. Cranor, Charles Bailey, Norman Eubanks, O. H. Pierce and James Thompson. Carpenter's Local 912, now meets in Luken's hall, over 630 Main street. 19 1t STOCK UNPRODUCTIVE. . In a Hit of unproductive capital in the country, M. Rumely company is mentioned by eastern authorities. The financial experts give the unproductive capital of the M. Rumely company as more than $20,500,000, in $9,750,000 preferred stock and $10,908,000 common stock. Amusements The Kibble & Martin revival will appear at the Gennett tonight It is nn undisputed fact that there is no better production of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" on the road today than that made by Kibble & Martin several year's ago, and improved with each season since. It is the largest company with possibly a few exceptions, such as special revivals, ever used in the production of the play, for it contains a company of the original Georgia shouters who play the negroes in the cotton fields, and who are seen in plantation dances and heard in plantation songs in scenes showing the quarters of the negroes on a plantation where the master was a humane man. DENIES STORY OF BIG GERMAN LOAN James Speyer, the New York banker who, after a long conference with Count von Bernstorff, the German ambassador, denied a circulated story that the Kaiser's envoy had arranged with him for a gigantic war loan. Re would not, however, tell the purpose of the conference. When asked for his own opinion on the war Mr. Speyer said he hoped the end of the conflict would not long be delayed. According to the figures of the gas and electric companies of Newark, N. J., the number of persons moving from one place to another is three times greater this fall than it has been before. In three days changes were cnade for 2,668 families.

REPUTES CONSPIRACY Ohio Progressive Candidate Denies Pact With Cox. EATON, O., Oct. 19. Refuting the charge of Willis that Brown, Garford and himself had formed a conspiracy that would lead to the election of Cox, James R. Garfield, Progressive candidate for governor, addressed a small crowd late Saturday evening in Eaton. "The charge is a base falsification, and Willis is responsible every time he utters it," continued Garfield. "The Progressive party stands for effective statewide prohibition, and a vote for either of the old parties is a vote for the infamous liquor interests. Just as the abolitionists of old fought the slavery problem, the temperance advocates have founght the liquor question and have won. These forces have united with the Progressive party, and we will come out victorious November 3." To avoid use of towels in public places there has been Invented a device in which a person's are dried with a current of electricity heated air. Want to Know The Light is Turned on to a Subject of Darkness. The mere fact tbat 3. S. S., the famous blood purifier, drives out disease Is a world's story, a topic of conversation wherever men get together. They wonder why, simply because most remedies are mystified and put before them as "discoveries." The facts are that we pay too much attention to possibilities and not enough to real, homespun accomplishment. S. S. S. Is a remedy of our fathers. It has a history that Is written deeply In men's minds because It has done the work, driven out deep seated disease, revived hope, put the O. K. on appearance and clamped down tight any effort of genj to get the upper hand. Any sore spot on the skin is an immediate demand for S. 8. S. since the first principle of this famous remedy Is to strike out for places of trouble. This is a physiological fact and S. 8. S. is true to the workings of our body. Get a bottle of S. S. S. today at amy druggist and beerin blood health. It will master any blood disease and do It in a way to emphasize its Influence.
