Carl Woods of Spartansburg, was the guest of his grandfather, Joseph Woods, at this place, Sunday. Mrs. Henry Knoll, who has been on the sick list, is reported to be improving. Mr. and Mrs. Corrle White and. daughter, Miss Hazel, entertained Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Osro Blose and family, Mr. " and Mrs. William Hinshaw and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles White and family. Mrs. Sarah Stetler of Richmond, is the guest of her son, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Stetler and family this week. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Coefield, Mr. and Mrs. John Richards, Mr. and Mrs. K. D. Coefield spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Wallingford. A number of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Addleman's friends and neighbors paid them a pleasant surprise visit at their country home south of here, last Thursday evening. Mrs. Lydia Jackson was the guest of Raymond Lamb and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Pyle attended the funeral of Mrs. Pyle's grandmother, Mrs. Martha Rankins, at Hollansburg,' Friday.
