The honor of being the youngest soldier in the German army is now being claimed for a boy of fourteen years and nine months old, the "Obertertainer" iBllert, who has just come from a school for military cadets. State of Indiana, County of Wayne, ss: Notice Is hereby given that at 12 o'clock noon, on Saturday, October 17, 1914, the advisory board and trustee of Perry school township, Wayne county, Indiana, will receive sealed bids at trustee's office, at Economy, Indiana, for the furnishing and installation of an all Cast Iron Horizontal Tubular Furnace, weighing not less than 5,000 pounds, set up complete, including firing tools, and with covering iron over furnace chamber of No. 16 guage iron, and also with smoke pipe on No. 20 guage black Iron; the same upon brick work furnished and done by the school township; and all for addition to school house of said township; and all to be completed by not later than November 21, 1914. Bidders will Inspect the premises and with proposal submit his plans und specifications for equipment he proposes to furnish. Including also the plans and specifications for brick work for such furnace to be constructed .by the township. Bids are made upon the further con slderatlon that the trustee and board shall have opportunity of thirty days use of furnace before payment therefor. , Bidders will submit with bid certified check, payable to trustee above, in sum of fifty ($50) dollars, conditioned upon execution of contract if successful. The successful bidder will enter into written contract for installation, etc., and provide bond in amount of contract with approved security conditional according to provisions of contract. On the subject of appropriating money by Wayne township, Wayne county, Indiana, for the purpose of aiding in the construction of the Richmond-Hamilton Traction company's interurban railroad. Whereas, a petition was heretofore presented to the board of commissioners of Wayne county, Indiana, by more than twenty-five free-holders of Wayne township, Wayne county, Indiana, asking for public aid by the said township and appropriation of one hundred thousand ($100,000.00) dollars to aid in the construction of the RichmondHamilton Traction company's interurban railroad; and Whereas, the said board of commissioners having taken the said petition under advisement, by proper order, ordered an election to be held at the several voting places in the said township, on the 3rd day of November, 1914, by the qualified voters of the said township upon the subject: NOw therefore be it known, and notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Wayne township, Wayne county, Indiana, and to all persons concerned, that the polls will be opened on the 3rd day of November, 1914, the same being the day heretofore fixed by the order of the board of commissioners of the said county, at the several voting places in the said township, to take the votes of the legal voters thereof, upon the subject of the said township aiding in the construction of the Richmond-Hamilton' Traction company's interurban railroad, to the amount of one hundred thousand ($100,030.00))" dollars, and appropriating the said sum to the said Traction company for the purpose of aiding in the construction thereof, as prayed for In the said petition; which petition is duly recorded and entered at full length in the record and order book of the said board of commissioners, in Commissioners' Record No. 31, Pages 278 and 279 of the records of the said board of commissioners, to which reference Is hereby made for greater particularity.
