ASK UTILITIES TO CUT RATE
Committee of Ten to Appear Before State Commission Asking Reduction on Bond's Petition. Second Body of Men Will Make Complete Investigation of Schedule to Recommend Change. A committee of ten Richmond men, users of electric current for power, will one day this week go before the Indiana public utilities commission and request that the petition filed last August by City Attorney Bond for a 9.8 per cent reduction in power rates be granted without further delay. A committee of ten Richmond business men, to be appointed by John M. L.ontz, president of the F. & N. Lawn mower company, is to make a complete investigation of the electric power question in Richmond, but pending the completion of this inquiry local consumers hope to have the petition filed recently by Mr. Bond acted upon favorably by the commission. In the effort to secure another powr rate reduction the municipal plant's competitor, the Light, Heat and Power
company, has been completely Ignored.!
It is opposed tq a further reduction in this city until a complete appraisement of the two ical plants has been made by .. engineers of the commission bo that the commission can act intelligently In determining fair rate schedules for the two concerns. A few weeks ago the Light, Heat and power company petitioned for an appraisement of the two local plants, nd the company officials are confident that no action will be taken on (the Bond petition until the commission has had its engineers make such an appraisement.
ALLIANCE TO THROW VOTES TOLIBERALS Two Hundred Members of German Society Ask Candidates Stand. The 200 voters making up the German-American Alliance intend to make their platform a political issue and on next Sunday will make plans to force every candidate to declare himself as "liberal" or "prohibition." Officers declare those who "carry water on both shoulders" or who declare themselves in sympathy with the prohibition forces will be denounced while those who are liberal in their views and uphold the saloons will receive the 200 votes of the membership of the alliance. "We will cast an independent discriminatory vote this fall," one of the officers declared. "We demand a
stand and those who stand honestly and sincerely for the licensed saloon and for the reforms to the licensed saloons will receive our hearty support." The Alliance has received figures from R. C. Cavell, government statistical commissioner, comparing the prohibition state of Kansas and the licensed saloon state of Indiana.

Hair
If you want plenty of thick, beautiful, glossy, silkly hair, do by all means get rid of dandruff, for it will starve your hair and ruin it if you don't. It doesn't do much good to try to brush or wash it out. The only sure way to get rid of dandruff is to dissolve it, then you destroy it entirely. To do this, get about four ounces of ordinary liquid Arvon; apply it at night when retiring; use enough to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips. By morning most, if not all, of your dandruff will be gone, and three or four more applications will completely dissolve and entirely destroy every single sign and trace of it. You will find, too, that all itching and digging of the scalp will stop, and your hair will be silkly, fluffy, lustrous, soft and look and feel a hundred times better. You can get liquid arvon at any drug store. It is inexpensive and four ounces is all you will need, no matter how much dandruff you have. This simple remedy never fails. Advertisement
