ALOST REPORTED FIRED BY GERMANS
BY LEASED WIRE. BRUSSELS, Sept. 19. Another Belgian town 1b added to the list of those laid in ashes by the Germans. This is Alost, a manufacturing center of 40,000 population, between Brussels and Termonde. Belgian forces made a clean sweep of the Germans holding it, and the Belgian commander states that the Germans fired the town in several places as the withdrew.
