McCormick formed a party to New Castle Tuesday as the guests of Mrs. Sarah Peters Gordon. The Rev. Mr. Westhafer will preach at Doddridge chapel Sunday morning. He will go from there to I..ocust Grove to conduct the serving of the Lord's Supper at 3 o'clock. In the evening the members of Doddridge chapel will observe roll call. All are invited to attend these services. The Priscilla club will meet with Mrs. Theodore Crist next Monday afternoon. The Rev. F. C. McCormick began a series of revival meetings at the Christian church, Bentonvllle, Tuesday evening, with the pastor, the Rev. C'ary McCollum, in charge. Monday, August 7. The pupils are desired to be present as nearly as possible on the first day. Harry Manlove is expected home this week from an extended trip in Chautauqua work. Mrs. Benton Wagner and daughter, Alma, have returned from their outing at the Richmond Chautauqua. WISE THIEF TAKES SACK OF SUGAR MILTON, Ind., Sept. 2. Some one took a twenty-five pound sack of sugar from Bragg's grocery Saturday evening. Mr. Bragg gave a gentleman a sack and when it was placed in the buggy the sack caught on something which produced a rent in the sack. He remarked that he would exchange it and did so. The sack of sugar was placed on the counter, and when looked for some time later, had disappeared, while Mr. Bragg and his clerks were busy.
